Terrorism is getting on a plane with a person of middle eastern descent after 9/11 and even though no matter how tolerant that you may feel that you are, when that arabic person sitting next to you gets up to go to the bathroom, you're still going to clutch onto those arm rests of yours just a little bit tighter and butterfly's will begin to swarm within the pit of your stomach. And that my friends is exactly what the Bin Ladin's and Al-Zarqawis of the world want. Their goal was not to bring down the twin towers on that fateful day but was in fact to force us to look at our neighbors with suspicion, fear and contempt . . . and in that goal it sadly seems they have succeeded. Terrorism is not feeling safe walking down the streets of a foriegn land for fear of being abducted by thieves in the night who have demented aspirations of sawing the head off of the first westerner unfortunate enough to cross their paths. Terrorism is sitting down to lunch, during a beautiful sunny day, at an outdoor Israeli cafe when all of a sudden you hear the blood curdling scream of Allah Ahkbar, then a loud explosion, followed by eternal silence. Terrorism is teaching childrent to hate before they can read, and teaching them how to destroy rather than how to create. Terrorism is the culmination of everything that's wrong and sick in this world, it is the embodiment of all things that are ugly, vile, and evil which we have chosen to ignore until one day we can't ignore it any longer, because it's at our front doorsteps with eyes blazing, wielding an A.K. 47, clutching a butchers knife in its teeth, with a decapitated head in one hand and a Koran in the other. Terrorism is the White House reduced to rubble and the American flag on fire; it is the death of countless innocents sent via satellite dish into every home in the nation. Terrorism is when murderers are awarded the noble peace prize while heroic and righteous men are portrayed as war criminals. Terrorism is showing fear and cowardice in the face of a determined enemy. Terrorism is making back alley deals with evil regimes in order to make a few rich men just a little bit richer and to line the pockets of despots and tyrants while millions of people slowly starve to death. Terrorism is the need of the few outweighing the need of the many. Terrorism is the deaths head, the swashticka, crystal noch and the entifada all rolled into one. Terrorism is a mushroom cloud over the New York skyline. Terrorism is the third world war and the end of our way of life, it is freedom replaced by fear, liberty replaced by lies, and justice replaced by Jihad. Terrrorism is the death of the American dream, it is the age of reason come to a screeching halt and thrown into full reverse. Terrorism is hopelessness incarnate, it is a plague, a cancer on the world and like any other cancer it must be cut out by the roots. To replace hopelessness with hope, ignorance with understanding, and the fear of the unknown with the knowledge of a better tomorrow . . . and in that goal my friends it joyously seems we are suceeding. They tend to be quite vague, as there is no set standard for a "democracy," so while they're a democracy on paper, they're (insert non-democratic for of government here) in practice. You're exactly backwards in your thinking.

Terrorists in ireland are backed by Christian ideologies... terrorists in South America are backed by political ideologies. As for this statement it's way out of left field this time since I didn't list any countries by name save for Russi so that does away with the ALL statement and secondly I didn't claim that the South East Asian countries were democratic rather I stated that allthough they are communist they are very much enjoy the fruits of capitalism so they are instead of the usual theory of the natural evolution of a country to change from capitalism to communism the exact opposite is indeed the case.

We defeated Hitler, and the USSR disbanded (Russia was only a fraction of it btw) those are two isolated states, not the basis for entire political systems. South Asian countries technically communist? Totally communist. The only country out of those that is remotely capitalist is china and that is only in large internal markets. You said we defeated fascism and communism, you were obviously wrong, so dont try and justify it by whining about how we defeated a country that happened to be fascist or how a nation disbanded that happened to be communist (note disbanded as in "we didnt soley defeat them, they were plagued by internal strife"). It's different than reading it out of a book when your actually conscience of the world around you when the event happened, if you can't remember when the Soviet Union was a global power then I can't even explain to you how communism was defeated when it fell.

Ya I suggest you look into Vietnam, because they also have capitalist institutions, (take a look at the link below) probably the only purely communist countries now are Korea and Cuba, however, these countries are poor and their people are starving, in Korea they have even begun to resort to cannabilism. China is moving towards a more capitalist and open society and if it wasn't for the Tiananmen massacre they probably would already have converted to democracy just like in Russian, if it was not for the fact that they adobted capitalist institutions and opened up their market to the west, namely the U.S., their entire economy would have probably collapsed already just like that of the U.S.S.R. Communism is a failed experiment it's been proven through the test of history.

Also there are around 10-15 million communists globally.

Ok, ok "War On Terrorism" may be an incorrect phrase or not correctly or specifically descriptive enough to express our aims but we know what this war, starting in Afghanistan, is intended to fight; specifically Islamic Fundamentalist or Extremist groups who use Terror tactics to affect their desired results, and, State sponsors of these particular groups. I believe that this has been quite clear since sept 11th but perhaps the white house could've devised a more descriptive name. :roll:
