Ted Nugent Will Attend State of the Union Address[W:496, 768]

Re: Ted Nugent Will Attend State of the Union Address[W:496]

The last two do not insult you. My comment applies to your post, not you (the person)

mak2's is about the right wing, which you claim you're not a part of so it doesn't apply to you

So who's being sensitive now?

Bull crap. You accused me of being dishonest.

Re: Ted Nugent Will Attend State of the Union Address[W:496]

Seems like some of you just use insults to try to make a point. What IS your point anyway?

That Nugent is a perfect conservative hero: hypocritical, unstable, violent, disoriented, stupid.

Re: Ted Nugent Will Attend State of the Union Address[W:496]

Here is a collection of quotes where I have been insulted by liberals. Yet they accuse ME of being insulting? Because I said they are "sensitive" and "full of sh!t" That's hilarious!

You don't want the facts about Nugent, do you?

Typical conservative knownothingism. Maybe you shouldn't praise a guy who talked about hippies in foxholes deserving to be shot.

I guess you didn't bother to look up his odious book either, eh?

Re: Ted Nugent Will Attend State of the Union Address[W:496]

No, I accused your argument of being dishonest. And childish

And I said your's was full of sh!t and delusional.

Re: Ted Nugent Will Attend State of the Union Address[W:496]

That Nugent is a perfect conservative hero: hypocritical, unstable, violent, disoriented, stupid.

There aren't any perfect conservative or liberal heroes. They are all deeply flawed in one way or another. As a conservative I've never looked up to Nugent. I've agreed with some of what he's had to say, disagreed with other parts.

But these proclamations of yours are more troll-like than valid.

Somebody wants to keep pretending about Nugent, the conservative hero par excellence.

Look, if you tea partier gun lovers don't want to hear what a hypocritical creep Nugent is, stop praising him. But I know that's asking too much. He is the quintessence of conservative manhood: a draftdodging chicken hawk.

On hunting

The Nuge pretty much thinks you're a hippie idiot if you don't hunt and kill your own food.

"I don’t think they’re capable of either of those thoughts, you Limey a*****e. They’re only interested in three things: The best place to eat, having sex and how quickly they can run away. Much like the French," Nugent said to a British journalist who asked him whether or not deer are his friends.

"Vegetarians are cool. All I eat are vegetarians -- except for the occasional mountain lion steak."

"[I get a] full predator spiritual erection" from hunting "bear, lions, coons, housecats, escaped chimps, small children, scared women and everything else that can be chased and/or hunted."

Not everyone hates Ted Nugent right now >>

On dodging the Vietnam War draft

Nugent told the Detroit Free Press in 1990 that he meticulously planned to get out of the war. He stopped bathing 30 days before going before the draft board and later ate nothing but junk food and Pepsi. A few days before his appointment, Nugent started defecating in his pants. It obviously worked — and it's a good thing, because "if I would have gone over there, I’d have been killed, or I’d have killed all the Hippies in the foxholes. I would have killed everybody."

On politics

Nugent's recent comments about Obama weren't the first time he blasted the president. He said basically the same thing in 2007, except he had a machine gun as a visual aid.

"I think that Barack Hussein Obama should be put in jail. It is clear that Barack Hussein Obama is a communist. Mao Tse Tung lives and his name is Barack Hussein Obama. This country should be ashamed. I wanna throw up," he said, adding "Obama, he’s a piece of s**t. I told him to suck on my machine gun."

Apparently the Detroit Free Press is Nugent's go-to outlet for hate speech. In this 1990 interview, The Nuge said that all people aren't the same.

"My being there (South Africa) isn’t going to affect any political structure. Besides, apartheid isn’t that cut-and-dry. All men are not created equal."

On women

Nugent is well known for his "type" of women, namely women who might not be 18. His "muse" Pele Massa was 17 when they got together — he had to take legal custody of her from her parents in order to date. However, that relationship — like most of Nugent's relationships — ended because of his love for "alternative flesh management," or as we call it, cheating.

He's also not a fan of strong women with independent thoughts.

"What’s a feminist anyways? A fat pig who doesn’t get it often enough?"

On minorities and non-Americans

He still has a rabid following around the world, whether he likes it or not. Apparently, he doesn't share the love.

"…Yeah they love me (in Japan) — they’re still assholes. These people they don’t know what life is. I don’t have a following, they need me; they don’t like me they need me… Foreigners are a******s; foreigners are scum; I don’t like ‘em; I don’t want ‘em in this country; I don’t want ‘em selling me doughnuts; I don’t want ‘em pumping my gas; I don’t want ‘em downwind of my life-OK? So anyhow, and I’m dead serious…"

Also, using racial slurs to describe African Americans is totally okay if you have black friends.

"I use the word n****r a lot because I hang around with a lot of n****rs, and they use the word n****r, and I tend to use words that communicate," he said.

Here's your post. Please note that your comment was directed to "you" and not "your argument"

Unless Ted has actually committed an act of violence, you are all full of ****! Sorry, but you are. Words are just that . . . words. Now I know you liberals take words to heart, but get a grip on yourselves.

Again, who here actually thinks Ted Nugent is going to commit an act of violence?

Also, please note that I also edited out the obscenity you used

Re: Ted Nugent Will Attend State of the Union Address[W:496]

So you damn Ted for avoiding the draft?

and what does the supreme court have to do with my comment about avoiding the draft? I think the draft is an abomination and the prosecution of the war in SE Asia to be an incompetent-to the point of being close to treason-charlie foxtrot

You said it was unconstitutional.

My comments about Nugent are about his regressing to infant stage and filling his own pants with his own feces and urine as a grown adult.

Nothing like supporting a racist. It's what conservatives do best:

No wonder conservatives love him so much!

Re: Ted Nugent Will Attend State of the Union Address[W:496]

It's quite the wonder how you, a demonstrated liberal crowd shouter, know so much about the workings, philosophies and innermost thoughts of folks spread across the US who loosely attach themselves to a movement. The Tea Party isn't an actual political party.

There is no difference between telling someone they are full of sh!t or that their argument is dishonest. It means the SAME thing.

Re: Ted Nugent Will Attend State of the Union Address[W:496]

that's what I said, which you called crazy, that it's different when Repubs do it, ie: two wrongs don't make a right.

You have a brilliant moral code: If a Repub does it, ignore it. If a Dem does it, sermonize how full of hatred that person is, how wrong it is, and now LIBERAL a thing it is!

Lol. Wow.

Now this is absolutely hilarious. You are accusing someone else of having a "double standard" yet you are the one who stated that it was "honorable" for Bill Clinton to avoid the draft yet dishonorable for Ted. WOW! THAT is why I called you're argument crazy.

Re: Ted Nugent Will Attend State of the Union Address[W:496]

There is no difference between telling someone they are full of sh!t or that their argument is dishonest. It means the SAME thing.

Actually, there are many differences. For one thing, the former is considered an infraction on DP. The latter is not.

For the record, I consider both you and I to be intelligent people. That doesn't mean that everything I've ever said or done is intelligent. I've said and done some stupid things. That doesn't mean I'm a stupid person; It means I'm a smart person who hasn't always behaved that way.

It's possible that you're one of those rare people who never perform at less than their potential. However, your posts in this thread suggest otherwise.

That is ONE difference, not several. And a pretty minor one at that. They still mean the same thing.

See, here you go assuming. I never said I agreed with everything that Ted says. Never. I agree with his second amendment views though. I already stated that I didn't agree with his draft dodging, but I pointed out how you were all denigrating HIM for that (pretty bad too), even though he was 18 years old at the time and just a dumb kid, and said why would you denigrate Ted for doing the SAME thing Clinton and Joe Biden did? They both dodged the draft as well, yet you all seem to hold them upon a pedestal? It's hyperpartisan to say the least.

Then, you all try saying that he is a "leader" of the republican party. That is just bogus and false. I tried to correct you on that, but didn't get anywhere with that either. Then, you all start saying how "violent" he is. Has he ever done any violence against anyone? No, he hasn't.

Yeah, he's said and done some disgusting things. So what? Does that mean I have to HATE him? Why?

Re: Ted Nugent Will Attend State of the Union Address[W:496]

It was an example and not the only difference.

Another difference is that one is an attack on a persons character, while the other is an attack on the quality of an argument

But I'm glad to see you finally say that he's said and done some disgusting things. That's pretty much what I've said (though I also called him a coward, which he deserves)

And you don't have to hate him. But the fact that you just bad-mouthed him means, according to what you yourself posted earlier, that you hate and fear him.

Do you now realize how stupid that argument is?

Re: Ted Nugent Will Attend State of the Union Address[W:496]

Well, your little smiley guy is really cute and all, but why don't you try explaining for crazy dumb ol' me why you think it is wrong for "people to badmouth people they don't know" but don't include Ted Nugent threatening and badmouthing people he doesn't know, including the US president.

Or have I rendered you "smiley's only"?

Did I ever defend Ted badmouthing the president? No I did not. I said, in so many words, that he is a mouthy rock-n-roller, not known for his sensitivity and obviously a habit of vulgar speaking.

My point is that perhaps he is really a nice person and just gets worked up about things and expresses himself in a negative way. But you guys are making it sound as if he is going to actively chase down the president and assassinate him or something, as if he is some danger to society. It's hyperbole. He isn't the first guy to make those kinds of statements, and I'm SURE he won't be the last.

Also, you ARE aware of the fact that MANY liberals said just as horrible things about Bush when he was a sitting president as well? Now, two wrongs don't make a right and I am not excusing what Ted said, but just pointing out yours and other's hypocrisy of making it sound like he is the worst guy in the world.

Re: Ted Nugent Will Attend State of the Union Address[W:496]

Really nice people do not call others the c-word, or say they'd like to kill other people.

We're not talking about bush*. And no one has said that Teddie is the worst guy in the world. We can criticize him. He deserves it

Re: Ted Nugent Will Attend State of the Union Address[W:496]

No it is not. Saying "you're full of sh!t" or saying "you're argument is dishonest" is the SAME. Hopefully you know that when I say "you're full of sh!t" I'm referring to your argument and not you being full of it literally. It's a figure of speech you know.

There are LOTS of members of the board on the NRA. Ted Nugent isn't the "leader" of the NRA either. They have a HUGE board of directors. He is just one among many.

But I'm glad to see you finally say that he's said and done some disgusting things. That's pretty much what I've said (though I also called him a coward, which he deserves)

Well, I certainly don't think what he said about military members is anything good. I don't think he should state his opinions in the way that he does all the time, but I don't think he is violent or dangerous either, just a big mouth.

And you don't have to hate him. But the fact that you just bad-mouthed him means, according to what you yourself posted earlier, that you hate and fear him.

I'm not badmouthing him. I am acknowledging that he has made mistakes, just like all of us have. He is famous and in the spotlight, so HIS mistakes will follow him around forever. We are lucky that our mistakes are quickly forgotten and that things we did when WE were 18 aren't out there in writing for the world to pick apart and judge us for.

Do you now realize how stupid that argument is?

No, read some of the other posts. Especially those of HOJ. Extremely HATEFUL.

Re: Ted Nugent Will Attend State of the Union Address[W:496]

Really nice people do not call others the c-word, or say they'd like to kill other people.

Of course they do. When people get angry or worked up about something, they will say all kinds of things that they don't necessarily mean. Nice people are NOT perfect and say bad things sometimes. EVERYBODY does.

We're not talking about bush*. And no one has said that Teddie is the worst guy in the world. We can criticize him. He deserves it

Worse than criticizing him, is attacking ALL conservatives because of what Ted says. Or attacking conservatives because they defend Ted because they agree with perhaps ONE or SOME of his viewpoints. Doesn't mean they are "just like Ted" or even that they agree with all of his views.

For example, I don't like Obama's policies at all, but I don't dislike Obama the man. I think he seems like a really cool guy (although arrogant perhaps) and a good father and husband. However, I intensely disagree with his most of his policies and would not vote for him, and I like some things Ted says about some of Obama's policies.

Yes, and they are all leaders. I didn't say he was "the" leader. I said he was "a" leader.

Words matter.

I don't think he's dangerous either. Like a lot of wingnuts, he likes to talk tough, but when push comes to shove, he'll do nothing. That's why I think he's a coward

However, a reasonable person could hear his statements and conclude that he is a danger. As I said, it's not unreasonable to think that a person who used violent language and threat and states a desire to kill people might actually act on those desires some day.

Yes, you did bad mouth him. The things you recently said were certainly critical. And his vile statements have been issued in a steady stream, and did not end when he was 18. He's a geown man now, and he continues. Age is no longer an excuse for him.

No, read some of the other posts. Especially those of HOJ. Extremely HATEFUL.

What is wrog with hating someone who is hateful? Teddie is definitely an extremely hateful person.

Don't you see that when you "hate" somebody, that makes YOU hateful. Hate breeds hate breeds hate, ad nauseum.

I did not say it was honorable. I said it took more courage to dodge the draft than to get your father in high places to get you into a cushy Guard unit, guaranteed to not go.

If you have to make something up to make a case, you probably don't have a case.
