Not surprising that this thread is getting a lot of views but no comments. Obama supporters never respond to anything that refutes your beliefs and just do what they are doing here, remain silent and wait a few days before coming back with the same comments and name calling. Wonder how the Conservatives got all these African Ammericans in one place and how much they paid them to spout what liberals would call GOP propaganda?
The media and Obama supporters have called the Tea Party racists. This video dispels that and thus the silence from Obama supporters. Thanks for showing us all who you are.

It's a Saturday friend, and while I agree with your basic sentiment, a lot of our more active Left-wingers are out and about enjoying life.
A couple things...
 @ that ginormous hat.
I liked how after the lady lists off the six races in her another guy jumps up and says that race should never matter.
The guy in a t-shirt with a wine glass of something was funny. He's friends with Breitbart. He pretended to have seen the entire Sherrod video and then epically failed when he called her a racist.
I counted thirteen. Not a bad start. I thought most of them presented themselves well.
I'm not calling the tea party racist. I don't think they have much to offer poor people. You can't say "50% of people don't even pay taxes" and then telling them that the "government is taxing them to death".
Conservative,
Alright then...
Tell us what we don't know about Mrs. Shirley Sherrod that hasn't been made public yet? What are we missing?
There is a lot more to the Shirley Sherrod issue than meets the eye and is being ignored by the media just like the media is ignoring the black tea party members like those in the video

No I think the issue was dropped because it was over and the guy that instigated this in the first place got shunned by Republicans (who are NO WAY CONNECTED WITH THE TEA PARTIES AT ALL GET THAT STRAIGHT YOU TARDO LIBS) and he started acting like the victim because she is suing him now.
Also, this whole black farmer getting settlements thing actually happened oooh 1999 and was covered back then by local papers. Sherrod with her husband was one of the black farmers that got a settlement. I like how because no one was responding to you, you had to antagonize to instigate a response. Good job. But hey, maybe it's this reverse racism I keep hearing so much about that is put into play?
Also, on MSNBC the other day they had a black Tea Party leader, and Anderson Cooper had one on his program to discuss how it is a misconception that Tea Party rallies have no blacks. What is your point again? Oh yeah the socialist left-wing mainstream media (which I guess News Corp being a massive ****ing conglomerate doesn't count because Rupert Murdock has said publicly it is their goal to push the motives of the tea-party movement as much as possible) loves to talk **** about tea parties and that puts your undies in a bunch. Am I about right, did I get that on the nose?
I didn't say it, Murdoch did. Why don't you ask him?
So it isn't a problem to you? He runs "News Corporation" buddy not "Propaganda Corp". It is a problem to me, if I read a quote from Ted Turner saying "We need to make sure that these gays don't get their message heard and support Prop 8 as much as possible." I think I would be questioning CNN wouldn't you?
That just goes to show how little you know about the Tea Party, there is no propaganda unless you believe the principles of the Constitution are propaganda. This grass roots movement has nothing to do with a political party but everything to do with the Constitution and the role of Govt. Suggest you pay closer attention.

I suggest you pay closer attention and read my post before responding.
So nothing to add then? Thanks, what you have shown is that you don't know the motives of the Tea Party but because Murdoch is quoted as saying he is going to promote the Tea Party that makes it bad. Got it, Mr. Centrist, LOL.
No because if I add an extra layer to the conversation, then that's just more to go over your head. Go and read my post first, properly respond, and then I will add what I believe their motives are.
I'm not even going to touch what an oxymoron this statement is. However, it has everything to do with political parties because several politians from the right show their support by attending Tea Party rallies and Tea Party members and organizations themselves will endorse a candidate. For example, Sharon Angle. This grass roots movement has nothing to do with a political party but everything to do with the Constitution and the role of Govt.
JohnWOlin;1058903963]I think we have a serious lack of understanding here. Allow me to elbaorate on my point. When a CEO of a company says they should push their ideas onto their publications that are supposed to be meant to inform people, instead of giving people the information and leaving it at that, that is propaganda. If Ted Turner did that with CNN and some other issue, I would have the same problem.
In fact, FOX News sponsored several Tea Party rallies and had their "journalist" show up as special guest rallying support for the Tea Party movement.

To answer your question, what are the motives of the Tea Party movement?
Well initially I believe it was something against mainstream Republicans and Democrats and their ideas. The initial roots I think come from Ron Paul and his campaign, as while I do not agree with everything Ron Paul has to say, I think he probably the most honest politican we have today. Later, I think they were organized by honest to god honest folks before the media and politicans got involved.
Although every single tea party organizer since the beginning identifies themselves as a Republican, it wasn't until they started allowing conservative think tanks and Republican poltiicans to meddle with their simple message to promote low taxes and no pork spending was perverted. Now they have a contract with America, that suspiciously reads like a Republican lobbyist wrote it, and they reject any idea that comes out of the the left, or Republicans who they think are trying to meet anyone in the middle ground, like say McCain. They also stretched their message to go out of simply talking about issues of taxes and spending and are critical of social and moral issues now, such as gay marriage and abortion. Which yeah those are totally legitimate issues that need discussion but that doesn't really go with the whole Tea Party theme.
The majority of Tea party supporters are much older and a common theme from them is "take our America back" essentially saying they don't want us young people controlling anything. Another common belief and theme amongst them is that they are getting taxed more when 9 out of 10 Tea Partiers make less than 250k a year and the Bush tax-cut rollbacks will have no effect on them (as Obama and all of congress pledge to make most of the tax bracket cuts permanent) and in fact, many of them have been taxed less since Obama took office.
