Not surprising that this thread is getting a lot of views but no comments. Obama supporters never respond to anything that refutes your beliefs and just do what they are doing here, remain silent and wait a few days before coming back with the same comments and name calling. Wonder how the Conservatives got all these African Ammericans in one place and how much they paid them to spout what liberals would call GOP propaganda?

The media and Obama supporters have called the Tea Party racists. This video dispels that and thus the silence from Obama supporters. Thanks for showing us all who you are.

It's a Saturday friend, and while I agree with your basic sentiment, a lot of our more active Left-wingers are out and about enjoying life. ;)

I wish I could remember who said it. :-( I was watching TV and someone said the left tried calling the tea party racist. That didn't work. They tried calling them violent and that didn't work. Now they are calling them Republicans. I thought that was funny.
Anyway, I hope you don't expect a lot of responce from tea party haters, unless it's to keep calling black conservatives, Uncle Toms, house negroes, tokens, or traitors. However, I think that tactic has failed miserably.

Actually there has been a lot of views of this video and I have had a discussion with a few of the leftwing Obama supporters on other threads today so not sure the Saturday excuse is accurate especially since I haven't found a happy liberal in a long, long time. They seem to only want to spread their misery equally to everyone else as there is is little joy in Mudville

A couple things...

 @ that ginormous hat.

I liked how after the lady lists off the six races in her another guy jumps up and says that race should never matter.

The guy in a t-shirt with a wine glass of something was funny. He's friends with Breitbart. He pretended to have seen the entire Sherrod video and then epically failed when he called her a racist.

I counted thirteen. Not a bad start. I thought most of them presented themselves well.

I'm not calling the tea party racist. I don't think they have much to offer poor people. You can't say "50% of people don't even pay taxes" and then telling them that the "government is taxing them to death".

There is a lot more to the Shirley Sherrod issue than meets the eye and is being ignored by the media just like the media is ignoring the black tea party members like those in the video

Conservative,

Alright then...

Tell us what we don't know about Mrs. Shirley Sherrod that hasn't been made public yet? What are we missing?

I think processing over 86,000 claims for 39,000 African American Farmers speaks volumes, don't you? Where is Ms. Sherrod these days?

Of course there is.

If the black tea partiers make enough noise they can force the MSM's hand. Heck, if Fox talks about it enough they'll address it.

Harold from Facebook?

And he linked your next two links. :rofl

So she received a settlement that she must have qualified for? Big deal.

Great, another blog that sounds like conspiracy. They fired her because of Pigford really. Why did they apologize and offer her her job back then? Why didn't they just cite Pigford.

Rubbish.

Conservative,

Probably what bothers me the most is the fact that this was a huge story at the moment when the MSM thought they had an issue with Fox News and Racism in general but as time went by and the media found out who Sherrod was along with her background the issue was dropped. There was no racism on the part of anyone other than Shirley Sherrod as evidenced by information now available. If the MSM had anything against Fox News, Breitbart, Conservatives in general that would help Obama it would still be a front page story today, IMO.

No I think the issue was dropped because it was over and the guy that instigated this in the first place got shunned by Republicans (who are NO WAY CONNECTED WITH THE TEA PARTIES AT ALL GET THAT STRAIGHT YOU TARDO LIBS) and he started acting like the victim because she is suing him now.

Also, this whole black farmer getting settlements thing actually happened oooh 1999 and was covered back then by local papers. Sherrod with her husband was one of the black farmers that got a settlement. I like how because no one was responding to you, you had to antagonize to instigate a response. Good job. But hey, maybe it's this reverse racism I keep hearing so much about that is put into play?

Also, on MSNBC the other day they had a black Tea Party leader, and Anderson Cooper had one on his program to discuss how it is a misconception that Tea Party rallies have no blacks. What is your point again? Oh yeah the socialist left-wing mainstream media (which I guess News Corp being a massive ****ing conglomerate doesn't count because Rupert Murdock has said publicly it is their goal to push the motives of the tea-party movement as much as possible) loves to talk **** about tea parties and that puts your undies in a bunch. Am I about right, did I get that on the nose?

First off, the Tea Party is not racist. None of the policies it promotes are racist, therefore it is not racist. The Tea Party does have racist members, just like most large groups. Now that we have that out of the way...

..I love how conservatives, when confronted with being proven wrong about something, instead of doing the honest, honorable thing, keep looking for ways to spin it like they where right in some way, even if it means latching onto some bizarre conspiracy theories.

I disagree, the MSM doesn't drop anything that isn't anti Fox News, anti Conservative, and anti Tea Party. Sherrod had no problem condemning Fox News immediately after the issue broke and Fox wasn't even involved.

Seems a lot of so called Centrists have a tough time admitting exactly who they are, liberal to the core. You claim the Tea Party has a motive? Tell us what that motive is, Centrist?

I didn't say it, Murdoch did. Why don't you ask him?

I didn't say it, Murdoch did. Why don't you ask him?

You quoted him as if that was a problem. I asked you what the motive was for the Tea Party movement and if you knew it should be pushed by every media outlet

So it isn't a problem to you? He runs "News Corporation" buddy not "Propaganda Corp". It is a problem to me, if I read a quote from Ted Turner saying "We need to make sure that these gays don't get their message heard and support Prop 8 as much as possible." I think I would be questioning CNN wouldn't you?

That just goes to show how little you know about the Tea Party, there is no propaganda unless you believe the principles of the Constitution are propaganda. This grass roots movement has nothing to do with a political party but everything to do with the Constitution and the role of Govt. Suggest you pay closer attention.

Based on this post, I think they should be renamed the Koolaid Party.

So nothing to add then? Thanks, what you have shown is that you don't know the motives of the Tea Party but because Murdoch is quoted as saying he is going to promote the Tea Party that makes it bad. Got it, Mr. Centrist, LOL.

No because if I add an extra layer to the conversation, then that's just more to go over your head. Go and read my post first, properly respond, and then I will add what I believe their motives are.

I see nothing in your post to respond any differently than I did. Thanks for playing though Mr. Liberal

I think we have a serious lack of understanding here. Allow me to elbaorate on my point. When a CEO of a company says they should push their ideas onto their publications that are supposed to be meant to inform people, instead of giving people the information and leaving it at that, that is propaganda. If Ted Turner did that with CNN and some other issue, I would have the same problem.

In fact, FOX News sponsored several Tea Party rallies and had their "journalist" show up as special guest rallying support for the Tea Party movement.

This grass roots movement has nothing to do with a political party but everything to do with the Constitution and the role of Govt.
I'm not even going to touch what an oxymoron this statement is. However, it has everything to do with political parties because several politians from the right show their support by attending Tea Party rallies and Tea Party members and organizations themselves will endorse a candidate. For example, Sharon Angle.

To answer your question, what are the motives of the Tea Party movement?
Well initially I believe it was something against mainstream Republicans and Democrats and their ideas. The initial roots I think come from Ron Paul and his campaign, as while I do not agree with everything Ron Paul has to say, I think he probably the most honest politican we have today. Later, I think they were organized by honest to god honest folks before the media and politicans got involved.

Although every single tea party organizer since the beginning identifies themselves as a Republican, it wasn't until they started allowing conservative think tanks and Republican poltiicans to meddle with their simple message to promote low taxes and no pork spending was perverted. Now they have a contract with America, that suspiciously reads like a Republican lobbyist wrote it, and they reject any idea that comes out of the the left, or Republicans who they think are trying to meet anyone in the middle ground, like say McCain. They also stretched their message to go out of simply talking about issues of taxes and spending and are critical of social and moral issues now, such as gay marriage and abortion. Which yeah those are totally legitimate issues that need discussion but that doesn't really go with the whole Tea Party theme.

The majority of Tea party supporters are much older and a common theme from them is "take our America back" essentially saying they don't want us young people controlling anything. Another common belief and theme amongst them is that they are getting taxed more when 9 out of 10 Tea Partiers make less than 250k a year and the Bush tax-cut rollbacks will have no effect on them (as Obama and all of congress pledge to make most of the tax bracket cuts permanent) and in fact, many of them have been taxed less since Obama took office.

Please read my entire post, maybe twice even before responding. I look forward to your response. :)

If you want to have a credible discussion then you have to get away from the liberal talking points from MediaMatters, Huffington Post, MoveOn, and other leftwing sites that take things out of context and distort reality. I know of no Tea Party function sponsored by Fox News but I do know that Fox News covered the Tea Parties as they should. Do you know the difference between the Opinion personnel and hard news personnel? From your post I don't think you have a clue.

And that is a problem, why? In your state the Tea Party candidate Rand Paul won without Republican support. That has happened in other states as well. The fact that GOP Candidates showed up to support tea party candidates goes to show how polarizing the Obama agenda is and what a disaster it has created.

There are a lot of Democrats and Independents in the Tea Party. The initial roots come from the opposition to the massive growth in the sie of govt, overwhelming debt, intrusion into the lives of all Americans with programs like National Healthcare, and redistribution of wealth. Ron Paul is an honest politician and practices what he preaches when it comes to spending. He takes no pork for his District and I live in the Houston area and know his record. Conservative politicians are more closely aligned with the goals of the Tea Party than liberal Democrats. Not sure why you have a problem with that.

Although every single tea party organizer since the beginning identifies themselves as a Republican, it wasn't until they started allowing conservative think tanks and Republican poltiicans to meddle with their simple message to promote low taxes and no pork spending was perverted. Which yeah those are totally legitimate issues that need discussion but that doesn't really go with the whole Tea Party theme.

Why would anyone who believes in personal responsibility, reduction in the size of the govt, individual wealth creation, tax cuts for all taxpayers align themselves with the Democrat Party. I was a Democrat for decades before I realized the party had left me. You seem to have a problem with the Tea Party agenda and love to label people Republicans and Democrats instead of Americans who care about what is happening in this country.

I had no use for John McCain but he sure beat the alternative. I guarantee you he wouldn't have added 3 trillion to the debt in two years and we wouldn't have 16 million unemployed. Have you paid any attention to Obama and his speeches. He has been on one constant campaign and demonizes conservatives at every turn. He never accepts responsibility and continues to blame Bush for everything even though the Democrats were in charge of the Congress from 2007 on. Obama has had total control including a filibuster proof Senate during part of his first term and has made things worse. The results are there for all to see. Some however remain blind.

I really don't believe you have a clue as to what the Tea Party stands for as there isn't just one Tea Party group, they are different in every part of the country but their common theme is united, smaller govt, stop the massive spending on programs that don't work, support the private sector, stop trying to redistribute wealth.

You are projecting when you say that Tea Party supporters are much older and have a common theme of taking our country back saying they don't want us young people controlling anything. What exactly is Obama allowing the young people to control? According to him you aren't smart enough to handle your own health care, you aren't smart enough to spending your own money, you aren't smart enough to make the right choices in life. The Tea Party wants the govt. out of the decision making process for ALL Americans. They are about personal responsibility, individual wealth creation, consequences for poor choices and failures. I have seen on evidence that they are against the younger people. It would help you however to pay a little more attention to the experience that older people have instead of stereotyping older people into the same category.

Why do you believe a word Obama says? He has yet to tell you the truth on any issue and BEA.gov, BLS.gov, and the U.S. Treasury Dept. websites are non partisan and have the actual facts. Obama and Democrats state that the Bush tax cuts cost the country trillions and created the debt. Why doesn't the checkbook of the United States, U.S. Treasury, show that. Why is it that the U.S. Treasury shows income tax revenue growing AFTER the Bush tax rate cuts? Explain that to me then explain how raising taxes on the top income earners in this country are going to make a dent in the 13.4 trillion dollar debt we now have when that amounts to about 40 billion dollars if it is collected at all. I don't know why people like you are concerned about what others make including the rich. No rich person got rich and made someone else poor as this isn't a zero sum economy.

I really get frustrated when young people claim that they aren't being listened to or taken seriously when they make statements like you have just made. All this outrage over what rich people make and pay in taxes. You do know it was their money before it went to the govt. thus tax cuts aren't an expense to the Federal Govt. Where is your outrage over the 3.8 trillion dollar budget today and the trillion dollar deficits each of Obama's first two years? Please name for me any other President in U.S. History that had a trillion dollar deficit in any year?

It does seem to me that if you want to be taken seriously then you will stop buying what you are told and research to verify the rhetoric. I gave you non partisan sites as a good place to start.
