Supreme Court stops Trump financial documents from going to House on Wednesday

Re: House willing to delay getting Trump tax documents

If the court gives this a thumbs up, it'll open the door for the Senate to subpoena Biden's financial records, along with Schiff, Pelosi, Kerry, etc.

Why would they bother as the people you mention give up their records voluntarily it's Trump who is hiding

Re: House willing to delay getting Trump tax documents

He's being audited every year he's in office. Do you really believe that the IRS wouldn't have reported to Congress, by now, had they found anything illegal.

Congress found Nixon to owe IRS a lot of money after the IRS audited him --they don't always get it right

As was stated, the OP case is about the House issuing their own subpoena (you know what that means...a bunch of rabid deranged rats hell bent on attacking Trump with no oversight) so they can see if there is any dirt to be found.

And thats all this is about. A fishing trip at worst, harassment at best.

If that's really all it is, why stand on principle when you could just explode it in an afternoon by releasing the information?

Gotta think it'd be pretty satisfying to reveal a bunch of pristine tax records that confirm Trump is even richer than anyone thought.

I'd wallpaper the White House crapper with them.

Actually, the audit rule that's applied to the president and vice president was put in place after that.

I do. It's none of the House's business since tax returns are not required to run for or be President. It's just more fishing the Democrats are doing. They have nothing on Trump and so they just keep up the hoaxes. What's going to end up happening is Trump's returns will eventually come out and we will find nothing there too.

You’re right, it’s not a requirement. But that’s not the issue I have with trump. My issue is that he told the American people that he would release them. Then once he was president he claimed he was under audit and could not release them. Years later it is clear to me he never planned on releasing them in the first place. It was just one big fat lie. Now he’s doubling down on that lie by taking this all the way to the Supreme Court. If he didn’t want the public to keep wondering why he’s not releasing them, he should have never stated he would release them. Why are you defending that?

Have you at all been observing the rat douchebags in congress the last year and a half or so? you think that wold satisfy them.

Here's the deal. Trump doesnt do his own taxes. This isnt you, or me, or some random guy filling out a 1040. Hell...I'm not rriiiiiiicccchhhh....and I have enough property and investments that I dont do my own taxes. Anything that might be found would have been found by the Obama administrations IRS drones. This is just more **** from the left and it wil always be MORE...and more...and more.

Yep. Forever. :)

Sooo your only response is “but obama”. Okay. Are you going to address why trump might be fighting this, when he already said he would release them? Why are you not concerned about that huge lie, and his blatant attempt to block them?

My ONLY response?

I take it you havent been following this thread.

But sure...lets go there for a second. When I point out 'Obama', you should know that it is SELDOM EVER about 'Obama'. Obama is who he is...was who he was. No..when I say' Obama', what I am really doing is pointing out the complete and total lack of integrity and sheer hypocrisy of leftists that swallowed dutifully FOR Obama but now **** themselves over all things Trump.
Not Obama...

you.

So are you going to answer what I asked you?

Why are you defending trump when he said he would release them? You’re okay with his lies?

I don't doubt for a second that some wouldn't be satisfied if they were clean (witness the birther movement) but denying them access just makes it look like he has something to hide, no?

And the "more and more and more" thing we learned from watching you guys with ol'Hilldog for the entire time she was in office (and lo these years since.)

It's all in the game, or it's not.

Again...anyone that takes a joking comment from 2016 about hacking a server that was literally dismantled in 2013 as a call for Russians to hack Clintons email.....

In light of the fact that the campaign did meet with Russian agents who offered stolen data and the president's latest attempts to collude with foreign governments on election matters I think any off-the-cuff remark on such matters should be considered as testament to both his character and his manner of conducting business.

Assume an investigator wants access to all your records, all your bank statements, all your tax returns and all your phone conversations to see if they can find anything that they can charge you with.

Y'all OK with that? Does that sound Constitutional to you?

Congress can access your IRS forms tomorrow if they want. What are you hiding? Why would Trump be any different?

You should know by now that Trumpists NEVER care a hoot about Trump's multitudes of lies. When pressed they will say something like "It's just Trump being Trump. I believe they like what he says even when it is a lie.

If Trump's tax records were clean, then he should welcome a swift and open investigation that would clear his name. Wouldn't you agree?

And Biden should want the same thing, right?

Great idea! How about you post yours so we can clear your name first!

Clearly you are unfamiliar with the case in question. The New York Attorney General is investigating tax fraud allegations made against Trump and the Trump Organization. These allegations were underscored by the testimony of Michael Chen, Trump's former attorney. The allegations were that Trump overestimates asset values when he wants loans but underestimates asset values for tax purposes.

New York already has Trump's and the organization New York tax returns. Since NY returns rely upon the federal returns, NY wants to see if Trump filed the same information on his federal return as he did on his NY return.

Is it constitutional? Congress passed a law in 1924 giving Congress the right to see any taxpayer's return. Courts have upheld that right. There is no 4th Amendment protection, which the SCOTUS has repeatedly affirmed.

Re: House willing to delay getting Trump tax documents

Post your tax returns before you make another thread.

I mean...............it goes a long way towards credibility.......................................right?

No. It would be a meaningless act, as I'm just a private guy, a little guy with no power or government position.

You don't devise policy on anecdotal evidence.

If I were running for president, congress, or the senate, it would be important that I should, and I would.

But, as a private citizen, that doesn't make sense.

If you fall under a tax audit or even a subpoena you have to turn them over

Re: House willing to delay getting Trump tax documents

So? If there is an investigation into a fraudulent foundation they are running, they should give them up....after all justice should be blind

Re: House willing to delay getting Trump tax documents

Actually, the audit rule that's applied to the president and vice president was put in place after that.

So? The IRS did, indeed, audit Nixon's taxes.

However, the audit did find Nixon owed back taxes, as it turns out.

But, finding whether or not Trump owed taxes isn't the point, the point is to find out if Trump is beholden to Russia and The House of Saud

That being said, there is this, and I find it odd that the IRS didn't find what journalists uncovered by sleuth work -- maybe he wasn't audited when those records were discovered, and he got his tax ducks in a row since he's taken office.

Trump Engaged in Suspect Tax Schemes as He Reaped Riches From His Father - The New York Times

Or, maybe the IRS found irregularities, but is negotiating with Trump to pay back taxes in secret, after all, they are not going to publish any information if Trump doesn't want it made public, and obviously, he does not.

Ok.

So now your argument is that I'm deluded because I don't agree that all of the FBI investigators that worked on these cases, the entirety of the crowdstrike company and Mueller's investigators were all in a conspiracy to pretend that they had copies of the DNC servers and looked at them, but they actually didn't? If that isn't what you are saying please correct me. But don't go off on a tangent. I want to know exactly what you think regarding the DNC servers.

I'm betting Vance is a birther and a subscriber to Pizzagate
