The co-hosts of “The View” attacked the “good Samaritan” who stopped an active shooter at an Indiana mall and got basic facts about the story wrong while dismissing the man’s heroic actions as “lucky.”
On Tuesday’s show on ABC, Sunny Hostin falsely stated that 22-year-old gun owner Elisjsha Dicken “broke the law” by carrying his firearm at the Greenwood Park Mall, where he used it to stop an active shooter who killed three people and wounded two others with a rifle.

Nope.....certainly not about the killer; it had to be about the good Samaritan that "broke the law"' and saved lives.
Hello media bias and criminal apologists.

I've never even watched The View. Trailers for it seem like they're hawking a morning coffee-clatch gossip-fest. I'd rather watch old Law And Order re-runs.

You aren't missing anything. Yeah there is a "morning coffee-clatch gossip-fest" atmosphere and little of value. I'd rather watch ugly paint dry.

I wonder what goes on in her head. Maybe she'd rather the shooter just go on his merry way shooting.

I've seen it on and off but usually when they make a complete ass out of themselves like this time. I'd rather watch anything else.

Typical of the idiot left. They are so warped in their hatred of gunowners that they are upset law abiding citizens stopped a mass shooting. Sick ****ing leftists.

"lucky"???

The guy hit the shooter with 8 out of 10 shots. That's not luck. That's skill.

They don't Care about people and they would rather 30 or 40 people will be murdered so they can rant about how the bad guns are.

The problem with this hero is that he had a gun and used it properly and that's a problem because it makes other people think they can do that too.

They don't like when people do that. Because it means they can too.

Anytime anything happens that makes national news it's always the gun owners fault it's your fault that piece of garbage shut up you all day because you have to have your guns it's not about saving lives it's about stopping you from having your rights.

The whole point of any of this is about demonizing you.

Was it true? Were people allowed to carry guns in the mall?

I think it's great he stopped the shooting, but, I don't want us all to have to have shoot outs all over the place as the new means to protect ourselves during mass shootings. Counting on civilians to be good shots, like some western movie. It's really rare for a civilian to shoot a perp.

Certainly this isn't the new solution, shoot outs in malls, grocery stores, and schools? Is that what gun owners are hyped about?

I would hope for a better solution to end gun crime.

I watched The View once.... and promptly went blind for a time. Even a hundredth re-run of Law and Order would more enlightening than The View.

A "better solution?"

Perhaps you'd consider the Uvalde police department a "better solution" to these sorts of crimes? Wait till the shooter has killed everyone he can and then step in to stop him?

If innocents are killed or injured in the process of GGWG vs BGWG that is just ACCEPTABLE COLLATERAL DAMAGE for us all enjoying living the AMERICAN WAY.

There were no laws against carrying in the mall, and the posted "no guns allowed" signs have no force of law. It is evident that the signs and mall rules can't protect mall visitors. Quite a few of us have realized for years that "gun free zones" don't work; it appears that others want to double down on the concept.

How much collateral damage has there been when a private citizen engaged a criminal with a gun?

Would you have preferred that this GGWG not been there?

So the whole whinefest is about someone saying it was against the law when it was against the byelaw/rules. Eight hits seems like overkill.

Let's blame the shooter for that, then. Jeez you people are amazing.

Lots.

Of ways that all could have played out I am not unhappy the bad person with a gun was stopped when he was. I am quite content that there was no more ACCEPTABLE COLlATERAL DAMAGE than that which did occur. I wish there had been no BGWG period. My preference? I would prefer a society where all law abiding citizens could open or concealed carry if they wished and that it would not be an issue.

Hello media bias and criminal apologists.
When your agenda requires high body counts, it’s extremely frustrating when someone intervenes and stops the shooter.

Feel free to post links to the data. Please omit the collateral damage caused by cops.

Best of luck on this. I think we'll get rid of "may issue", but we're still not going to see nationwide reciprocity any time soon.
