That's right folks In the last 24 hours the Boston Red Sox, Boston Bruins, and Washington Redskins have all managed to play poorly enough for me to permanently disassociate myself from them. The team memorabilia and clothing went into a trash can fire this evening. Good Riddance to Bad Rubbish.
 
I am sure they are devastated!

My Falcons have sucked 95% of the time I've been their fan since 1980... and they suck now. Still my #1 team.
 
Come on Leafs fans have waited more than 60 years for a good team I think you can wait a bit longer.

Must not be a real fan of them or is it in the AM I might know someone going through the trash as his anger is spent. Perhaps it is the latter. Howdy Tigger, long time no see.

When the Braves got bounced by the Dodgers, I just started looking towards next year. It could be worse, you could be a Cubs fan. Then you could have this fit on the 4th of July and not in October.

Whatever... just go to the mall and pull out your phone to see who has the best record, buy their hat and become their overnight fan.

I'll say this surprises me about you because you seem to be stalwart in your political views no matter how far fetched and ridiculous. But now, when it comes to moral support of "your teams", you are as wishy washy as an infant.

I guess should China surpass the U.S. economically you'll call yourself Chinese.

The Red Sox have won two World Series in the last decade, the Redskins were a playoff team last year, and the Bruins have a Stanley Cup and another finals appearance in the last four years. The Red Sox are IN THE WORLD SERIES RIGHT NOW. And one bad weekend and you're renouncing it? I have zero sympathy.

Sports doesn't need fair weather fans like you.

Being a Cubs fan is like believing Santa Claus, the Tooth Fairy, and the Easter Bunny. Lots of hope and no World Series.
 
My football team hasn't been to a Super Bowl since 1993 and hasn't won a title since the AFL. My baseball team hasn't been to the playoffs since its last World Series title 20 years ago. My hockey team has been to the Stanley Cup finals twice (once in my memory), never won. My NBA team has actually had success, with a title in 2008 and a few when I was a kid. My college basketball team has one title, 10 years ago. My college football team won half a national championship in 1997.*

And this guy is whining because the Red Sox lost a game in the World Series?

* -- Bills, Blue Jays, Sabres, Celtics, Syracuse, Michigan, in that order.
