https://abcnews.go.com/Health/wireStory/study-medicare-bill-estimated-326-trillion-56906940Sen. Bernie Sanders' "Medicare for all" plan would increase government health carespending by $32.6 trillion over 10 years, according to a study by a university-based libertarian policy center. That's trillion with a "T."
The latest plan from the Vermont independent would require historic tax increases as government replaces what employers and consumers now pay for health care, according to the analysis being released Monday by the Mercatus Center at George Mason University in Virginia. It would deliver significant savings on administration and drug costs, but increased demand for care would drive up spending, the analysis found.

Also, when has a government plan ever come at or under budget?
What is the expected payout needed to keep farmers as Trump supporters. Currently that $12B that Trump is wanting to spend on them as causalities of HIS trade wars is just a little hush money that will keep them going to after the midterms? And let's not even get into the money that Trump is demanding from congress to build his qall even though he spent the entire 2016 election saying Mexico was paying for it. If it is so easy to get Mexico to pay for it, then as soon as he gets that money he can have his wall. Seems you don't really care about government spending as long as Trump does it.
This isn't about Trump or anything he's doing. Please start your own thread on that subject and we can discuss it there. Please keep your TDS out of this thread moving forward, kk thanks.

What do we currently spend annually on medical care?
What do we currently spend annually on medical care?
3.3 trillion, so this would double it.

The thing I always ask people is whether or not their premiums are more or less what they expect to fork over in payroll taxes to support slamming everyone into Medicare without doing anything to address the cost of healthcare.

Right, 32 trillion over 10 years represents an increase of 3.2 trillion a year, effectively doubling spending.Article said over 10 years. So it leaves total expenditure the same, but shifts the cost from consumer to a governing agent.

We produce too much crops... we have a huge surplus.
If we were doing what we are supposed to be doing we should end all subsidies for farmers. No politician wants to take that hit though.

$12B versus $32T.... is that your honest response?
