nope... i'm not in to mass rights denials.
Where do people come up with these crazy what if scenarios?

If there was a proposed Constitutional Amendment which repealed the 2nd Amendment right to have a gun but that would also ban all abortion except when the fetus has already died or the mother would die within 24 hours of natural causes if an abortion was not performed, would you vote for it (why or why not)?

No, because the issue of guns rights and the issue of reproductive rights are mutually exclusive.
The issue of rights is not mutually exclusive of other rights, nor is the issue of protecting life. It is an interesting exercise to help people clarify their thinking IMHO.
It has nothing to do with clarifying the thinking of people. It's just a lame way to try to justify making abortion illegal, which is a right-wing cause, by compromising on a left-wing cause, which is expanded gun control. And, in doing so, totally ignores all the issues related to gun control as well, as well as expanded issues of reproductive rights, such as access of birth control.
That is perhaps because you want to take away somebody else's rights and not give up any of your own. The other side feels just as strongly for the rights they defend, as you do the rights you defend. Why would somebody ever want to compromise their rights for your will if you are not willing to compromise your rights for theirs? If someone is not willing to give up their abortion rights to stop the killing of innocent children as they claim to be doing in going after gun rights, it is very telling just as it would be for someone not being willing to give up their gun rights to stop abortion. 15 No's and Zero Yes's at this point, it proves something. It is just a matter of deciding exactly what that is.

I am adamantly opposed to abortion.I think abortion should only be legal to save the life the mother. But repealing the 2nd amendment would have far greater consequences. the intent of the 2nd amendment is to preserve a free state, its not for hunting, its not for defending against criminals its for defending against the government should it become too tyrannical.
