I have to laugh ...because this have been true for decades now. I know many of you will say ..."well if we had another president besides Obama this wouldn't be true"......but I have always felt this is just your fantasy!!

The American hype ....is waning ....soon America will have another President ...and regardless of who it is ....some country like China will start measuring themselves. I have said all along ....in another 20 years ...America will be just another country in a room full of world leaders.

And this weakness is mostly going to be accelerated from within....because Putin clearly understand America's current dynamic! He understand that Obama from day-1 inherited an opposition that would rather be un-patriotic than line-up with him on any...and I mean any issue!! Putin knows about the "man-crush" ...the right wing have for him! But I just love seeing somebody "cow" the US ....Russia marched into Georgia and pretty much told Bush to F'ck himself ...here he is again doing it to Obama in Crimea!! :lamo



State TV says Russia could turn US to 'radioactive ash'

"Russia is the only country in the world realistically capable of turning the United States into radioactive ash," anchor Dmitry Kiselyov said on his weekly news show on state-controlled Rossiya 1 television.

Kiselyov made the comment to support his argument that the United States and President Barack Obama were living in fear of Russia led by President Vladimir Putin amid the Ukraine crisis.
 
So Chernobyl was just a test to see if they could do the same thing here?

So Russia and China could both reduce us to ash, but RT is full of crap for mentioning that Russia can? That makes no sense.

To pour salt on the wound....America is borrowing money from China...to give to the Ukraine ....and guess in who's pocket much of that money will end up? :mrgreen:

Destroy most of our major cities, yes... but it is debateable whether they EVER had enough functional warheads and missiles/aircraft to literally destroy the entire country and leave it a dead radioactive wasteland.


They certainly do not now. I've read reports on the readiness status of Russian missile forces... it is bad. Bad for them anyway. There is considerable question if even 1/3rd of their remaining ICBM's would function well enough to actually reach the US and deliver their payload accurately, and questions as to whether many of those warheads have been maintained well enough to actually detonate.


They could hurt us badly, sure... but not destroy us.
 
...and of-course all of America's Nukes are in perfect working condition....you left out that point

 
The real question is whether we would reciprocate. Or at least threaten to.
 
This is probably not the best time to have someone like Obama in charge with Kerry as his diplomatic second, and a budget wonk in charge of Defense. I sure hope we have some hawks in the Joint Chiefs to keep some perspective. This is just another example of why we should not be electing domestic driven people to be commander in chief. According to the constitution the powers of the Presidency are mainly foreign, and congresses mainly domestic.

I think at this point we're all aware that a few countries can reduce the world to ash. Cold War just keeps on keeping on. Now, I'm wondering if saying 'it ended' was ever true.
 

Well if that does happen please have your Passport and your specially obtained visa prepared to enter Mexico. We will decide on a case by case basis on who gets in. :mrgreen:

He watched how well you did against an opposition that had ..little training...no tanks, no armory...no sea power....no air power and often...NO SHOES!!!He watched Bush and his minions surge ...and surge and resurge against that opposition ....Putin just rolled into Georgia and took over!!! :lamo
