A conservative Christian politician has a secret life as a sperm donor for lesbian couples - even though he has campaigned against gay marriage.
Ever wonder what happened to Bill Johnson, after being defeated when he ran for governor of Alabama on an anti-gay platform? He has been donating sperm to lesbian couples. One of the following has to be true:
1) Bill Johnson is just another family values hypocrite.
OR
2) Bill Johnson has realized the errors of his ways, is truly sorry for bashing gays, and is now doing penance.
OR
3) Bill Johnson is making money from this, so screw the morals he preaches to everybody.
Which one is he? Answer the poll. It is multiple choice.

I have no idea who he is... but maybe he doesn't have a problem with gays, just with them getting married?
4. that homophobe is quite proud of himself and likes the idea of spreading his seed to replicate part of himself
Note...if you have a problem with gays getting married then you have a problem with gays.

Three. He, like many other men, like to jerk off and make some money while doing it.
He said he did not know the "relationship status" of the women he donated to: "I just know they want to have children." Asked if it mattered, he said: "I'm not going to answer that question."

Don't care. His private life is just that, his private life.
When are people going to start ignoring a persons private life?
Probably around the same time they stop using their position to either comment on or impact the private lives of others.
What position does this guy have? He is no longer on the City Council that he was once on. He did not get elected to govenor when he ran. Right now, this guy has no position.
Besides, even a politician deserves to have a private life free from nosey people.
Right, but he did previously, and he did so use it.
As far as I'm concerned, politicians are welcome to private lives when they let the private lives of others alone. You reap what you sow.
Yeah, over a year ago. So how long must a politician be out of the loop before thier private life actually becomes private? Everything that this guy has done was within the last year. Hell, the three women that got pregnant by him are still pregnant.
Also I'll need to remember your blatant disregard for a persons private life the next time a TSA thread comes up.
When you get right down to it, for the most part this guy's private life is private. This came out because some people think it flew in the face of what he preached in public. If he'd gotten a speeding ticket or his kid got expelled from school I doubt we would've heard about it.
As for how long, I really don't know. It's more a function of the fact that politicians in general keep trying to legislate morality. If they were to knock it off in general, then in general we'd stop sniggering at the personal embarrassments of politicians (former or current). If this guy hadn't done it, then this thread wouldn't exist.
This isn't any different from an especially stupid criminal getting a mention on the news -- the politician in question hasn't been getting followed around since he left office, his every exploit has not been a matter of record. He got caught in one embarrassing thing that seems to contradict his formerly public positions, and that's why it's being reported on.
Right, because sniggering at this is exactly the same as TSA's invasiveness. Hyperbole, much?
The very fact that this is being talked about shows that his privacy is still not his own. And your comments in this thread support this invasion of privacy.
Not hyperbole. Privacy is privacy. Whether someone is at the airport getting a pat down or some guy giving lesbians his sperm.
There is a huge difference with the straw man you just posted. People aren't asking for pat downs at airports. Those pat downs are being forced on them. Also, those pat downs do not correspond whatsoever with ANY behavior on the part of those who are being patted down that would make them deserve it. On the other hand, Johnson chose to be a hypocrite, and did have an anti-gay agenda, so his hypocrisy is certainly the issue here.
Privacy is privacy. Trying to say that violating ones privacy in one area is OK while saying it is wrong in another is the hypocritical part. Johnson did not ask for his privacy on this subject to be violated either.
Yes he did, by being a public figure who engaged in gay bashing. When you are a public figure, you are open to your own hypocrisy. This goes for the Johnsons of the world, as well as the Clintons.
Note...if you have a problem with gays getting married then you have a problem with gays.
Johnson has not been a public figure for over a year. This has already been explained.
Doesn't matter. His gay bashing as a public figure is still a matter of public record.
