Spain downgraded by s&p

Spain has problems, but how credible is S&P?

I just read earlier that Spain has a full 24% unemployment rate...how can they not be downgraded

Seems the unemployment news came out a day after they were downgraded...

he Spanish economy is experiencing one of its worst moments. The Spanish government has announced that the country’s unemployment rate rose to 24.4 percent in the first quarter - compared with 22.9 percent in the fourth quarter. The bad news came, a day after credit ratings agency Standard & Poor’s downgraded the country’s debt.

I lived in Madrid for 3 years and they are us in the not-too-distant future if we keep electing clowns like Obama and his ilk.

In the south of Spain, one-third of the young people are unemployed and it is getting worse. The conservative PP tries to barely reign in the WAY out of control government, and the left HOWLS like a baby getting its candy-cane jacked.

The socialists have had their way there for years and I really believe they are past the point of no return. They will have to crash and regroup, in my opinion.

We can learn from them if we have the freakin' sense to open our eyes

Oh, so its the S&P that is not getting it quite right. Trust me, the S&P is credible. And they will be credible when they downgrade us AGAIN if we keep electing power-hungry ideologues like Obama.

Get your head out of the sand and realize that Spain is us in a matter of years if we don't put our own house in order

Spain no doubt appears to be in trouble, but S&P is no one to truly rely upon. S&P needs to recover from their own recently troubled past in order to have any true measure of credibility.
