Mandela and Qadhafi: Brother Leaders[/url]

To the Left, OUR founders were a bunch of white, slave-owning, bigoted, rich men, but Mandela was a gentle and peaceful man. And you wonder why there is push-back.

To the best of my knowledge, Rumsfeld never considered or called Saddam Hussein a brother or named one of his nephews Saddam as Nelson Mandela named one of his nephews Qaddafi.

Glad to see the lessons of reconciliation that Mandela taught have been taken in by the DP community.

It's not untrue...

Words don't speak as loud as the weapons that Rumsfeld gave Saddam that have come back to bite America in the ass do they ?

Damn right!

Check to see how the rightists have been going ape**** on every Mandela thread and get back to me,
especially on the thread tagged RIP and the rightists still wouldn't stop .

What about the left sainting a man who was, at one point in time, a terrorist. To me, that is the most remarkable part of the story. That a man with as much anger in him to go into a prison like that, and come out the humble and forgiving man he was, is a testament to his spirit. But no, you listen to the left who talk about the ANC and they like to pretend all those bombings they did didn't exist. They are just belittling Mandela by distorting history.

I bet you play down the Holocaust, too.

If Stalin had jilled the Jews, the Libbos would deny that the holocaust ever happened.

You people are resorting to some hardcore word games...lol!

we've learned well from you rightists..
You people are resorting to some hardcore word games...lol!
and, we are just little responders to the big bad bullies .

You were the one who said ZERO Americans were killed in America during the same time-frame since Mandela took over..

No I didn't. Don't lie.

Why did the House refuse to go to Conference 18 times in the first seven months of this year, since you bring up budget??

Why did Obama's budget every single time get voted down by 100% of the Senate including democrats?

This is quite amazing, you of all people playing the race card. Look, the man wasn't perfect, but he did some good for many of his people. The ideology of his party is where some people have issues. People like you fawning over him while saying **** like above, denigrating people like Reagan and others, while you're at it. This is what's going here and in other threads.

Here's something for haters of the right, not everyone HATES Mandela.

Maybe there's something you need to let go.

The hatefulness in this thread is... chilling.

With the death of a rather renowned world figure, what is your take on the man, his life, and his legacy?

I've heard and read a lot of different things about the man, ranging from hero-worship to harsh condemnation and claims that he was a wolf in a sheepskin and didn't deserve his reputation.

Frack if I know what to believe. I doubt he was all the hero-worshippers make him out to be, though. Few men are.
