Actually, I think I've made it too difficult for you. Try reading that post again, slowly. You're making this too easy:

LOL...you agree now. After we corrected your previous dumb statements.I have no wish to counter that argument because I agree with that point. What are you not getting?
You've corrected nothing. You've simply made an irrelevant point and expected me to disagree with you about it. Gainsaying is your game, not mine.LOL...you agree now. After we corrected your previous dumb statements.
Perhaps the most stark example of white privilege is that, for a white person, it's not socially acceptable to say or be told that all your problems are someone else's fault.
Culturally speaking, we do a much better job of educating whites toward self-determination.
Is there a cosmic scale somewhere so we can tell when its balanced? And in an effort to balance should we discriminate against certain other groups to accomplish this balance? If we manage to balance centuries of white privilege against equality for all.
Nah, we did correct you. You can thank us after you get over your butthurt. You've corrected nothing. You've simply made an irrelevant point and expected me to disagree with you about it. Gainsaying is your game, not mine.
I assume you're talking about the Florida black history curriculum kerfuffle. yes?The endless conservative squealing over actual American history being taught instead of whitewashed drivel shows otherwise.
I assume you're talking about the Florida black history curriculum kerfuffle. yes?
I'm curious about something.
When you heard about it what was the first thing you did?
That's what I wanted to know.I pointed out the fact that trying to downplay slavery was despicable.
I confirmed the people defending it really, really, really want to downplay slavery’s atrocities, yes. That's what I wanted to know.
You didn't go to the curriculum to confirm if what you heard was true?
Then you didn't look for the offending statement in the curriculum?I confirmed the people defending it really, really, really want to downplay slavery’s atrocities, yes.
Before there was slaveryUm, but not before?
Do you really see that without the civil rights act and the voting rights act that those of color could just pull themselves up by their bootstraps, really? I actually wonder where you live and where you have lived in the past that makes you think that. I have lived all over the country, and I can tell you that many people, and I mean "many" people still see those of color as a problem to be dealt with. It is no different in the North than in the South. White people I know, even without calling it that, see white privilege slipping away from them and are fighting it every step.I believe in 2023 blacks are empowered to improve their condition without racial preference programs. I suspect you do not.
So again, which of us has a sadder view of blac
You seem really upset that people are calling out DeSantis’ efforts to whitewash slavery. Then you didn't look for the offending statement in the curriculum?
I see the people making this charge really, really, really want to claim DeSantis is personally responsible and a racist based on one sentence in a curriculum written by a black scholar.I confirmed the people defending it really, really, really want to downplay slavery’s atrocities, yes.
I'm not the least bit surprised someone didn't bother to confirm the curriculum they were upset about was actually what they were told. You seem really upset that people are calling out DeSantis’ efforts to whitewash slavery.
I'm not the least bit surprised someone didn't bother to confirm the curriculum they were upset about was actually what they were told.
And they keep not surprising me.
I see the people making this charge really, really, really want to claim DeSantis is personally responsible and a racist based on one sentence in a curriculum written by a black scholar.
This was inevitable. If DeSantis presents a serious threat to Trump he will be thoroughly demonized as any republican will be. It comes with the scenery.
If he were nominated (a long shot) it would be a huge contrast between him and lethargic Joe Biden. At least as great as a young clean shaven JFK against Nixon was.DeSantis isn‘t any kind of threat. He’s a pathetic wannabe caudillo who was involved in the torture program, who is finding out to his horror that shrieks about “wokeness“ don’t work outside of Trumpistans.
Yup. That's what I was getting at. They didn't read it. They didn't wonder who wrote it. They didn't look to see what the rest of the curriculum said.I see the people making this charge really, really, really want to claim DeSantis is personally responsible and a racist based on one sentence in a curriculum written by a black scholar.

They knew they were expected to be indignant and that's all that's necessary.
So when you looked at the curriculum, what did it say?Awww, someone’s mad Gestapo Ron’s effort to whitewash slavery is getting called out.
I recall you "stipulated" in another conversation with someone else and it doesn't change your nonsensical question in reply to my statement. You are very lost today, Nat. Perhaps a reading thread through would be helpful to you at this pointIronic, seeing as how i stipulated that point for the sake of discussion, or do you not recall?
