I feel a need to speak out on behalf of this innocent child, I am outraged that some animal could take away the life of such a young child, The ass even defiled her memory more when it disposed of her body at a Georgia land fill . The callousness is apparent and I hope they dispose of this animal in much the same manner when the monster is found.
I am away right now but when I get home I am going to hug my adult daughter and all my grandchildren as soon as possible , please you do the same ....in memory of Somer Thomson..
 
IA, Subby, the story is heartbreaking. How someone can harm a little child is not fathomable ....

Me too. I mean, she's a little kid! Those huge eyes ... and the garbage heap thing, I'm with ya.
 
Crimes against children are always appalling. If anyone is an "innocent", a 7 year old girl is.

I don't know whether we actually have more child-molesting nuts in recent years, or if the media coverage makes it seem that way... it is ugly though. God be with her family.

I believe it has come down to the fact that one can't even let their kids go out and play unless there is supervision, gone are the days when I was a kid , we used to take off for hours playing in the woods and ball .
 
My heart breaks for the girl and her parents.

Media coverage is bringing it to your living room more often is all. Crimes like this were usually played up for the murder aspect while the rape or sexual in nature aspects were kept out of newspapers back in the day. This was also the issue with kidnapping/child abuductions where the rape was strictly never mentioned in the media. With sex a very defining part of our culture now compared to the repressed sexual media of before, it is of course played to the hilt.

The kiddy fiddler craze is much hyped now and of course parents think abductions are common and "party vans" are on every corner. :shock:
