What does all those ideas have in common? Could it be that in none of those plans you're paying in full for your healthcare costs?
Yeah, that is it.
Umm...what exactly do you think health care insurance DOES? Do you really think that the 5,200 silver plan the OP mentioned is going to pay for a heart transplant even after 30 years of paying into it? Thats only 156k. The whole idea behind insurance is to have a bunch of people pay into a pool and that pool is used to pay for the people that need the money now while growing off of the people that don't use it.
So the whole talking point of those that are for Obamacare and say "you don't have a right to make others pay for your healthcare" as a reason to demand that people buy health insurance is one huge pile of crap.
Irrelevant
No, that is the entire point.
It's a stupid point
You don't have the liberty to make others pay for your health care
It's called insurance
Doesn't the right wing understand insurance?

Yes, we do. Driving is a privilege, so insurance is required to drive. It's called insurance

Not when this was your argument
What did you actually think insurance was when you made your original statement?
It is doing the very same thing which you say people are not allowed to do...make others pay for your health care costs. Indeed, now that it is MANDATED by the government you are making others pay into insurance which is collectively used by everyone in that pool. IE you mare making other people pay for your health insurance because you are not paying in near enough to cover JUST your healthcare costs. If you did then you wouldn't NEED insurance. You could just use a bank.
Seems like you are the one that doesn't understand insurance.
Yes, we do. Driving is a privilege, so insurance is required to drive.
Is living also a privilege in your book?
And guess what. Some of us would prefer to pay the cheap rates of catastrophic insurance coverage, and pay all normal medical costs out of pocket. I despise the authoritarians who say I must carry insurance that meets their guidelines. Just who in hell do they think they are?
It's true.
You don't have the liberty or the right to make other people pay for your health care.
Insurance <> "you making others pay for your health care"
You already lost the argument and now you're just drowning. I'm really not interesting in watching you drown. I'll see you around.

*You* are not the govt.
*You* do not have the right or the power to make others pay for your health care.
*You* do not understand the difference between you and the govt

One last post..
Before Obamacare there was no prospect of someone forcing you to buy insurance and it being lawful. People would buy insurance on their own free will and decide freely to take part in a system where they paid for other peoples healthcare and in turn other people paid for their healthcare. Now people are going to be forced to buy insurance because of people like yourself that to lower their healthcare bills. What is happening is these people are being forced to pay for other peoples healthcare.
In truth neither body has the power to force people to into such an arrangement.
The government is my servant. NOT my master. When it does become my master that is called tyranny. Do you support tyrannical governments?
You're still making stuff up
No one is forced to buy insurance
And no one has the right to make others pay for their health care.
No, the govt. is not your servant.
And neither are all the people you want to fob your medical bills off on.
:lamo Right..
Yes, the government is the servant.
Someone who has self responsibility rather than an authoritarian, telling other what they must do...I'm sure you'd prefer that. Until you got sick and it turns out your catastrophic coverage doesn't cover squat. Then the rest of the bill gets dumped on the public because you declare bankruptcy. Worse, since you are less likely to go to the doctor's office when paying out of pocket, you're more likely to need that catastrophic coverage because you let small problems turn into big ones.
Dump that on me? Who do you think you are?
No, the govt. is not your servant.
