Some far-left groups have encouraged peaceful protests to turn violent, experts say

If you say so.
Because our Constitution says so.

“Article II of the Constitution spells out the powers of the president and executive branch. Article II, Section 2, Clause 1 states the following:

The President shall be Commander in Chief of the Army and Navy of the United States, and of the Militia of the several States, when called into the actual Service of the United States; he may require the Opinion, in writing, of the principal Officer in each of the executive Departments, upon any Subject relating to the Duties of their respective Offices, and he shall have Power to grant Reprieves and Pardons for Offences against the United States, except in Cases of Impeachment.”
Some presidents have issued blanket pardons for crimes not yet committed, of course.

Biden was the most recent example.

Probably the only one who pardoned people for crimes that would have been committed until the date listed on the pardon.. not even the time of the pardon, but the date. So present and future crimes included, obviously.
^ All blatant lies.

Really embarrassing yourself here.

For sure. Past, present and future offenses, clearly. As designed.

All true.

Blanket pardons for everyone!

Anyone else gets elected president, he doesn't need to do that.

Watching Trump's retribution tour tells us exactly why he did that.
Some people feel they, and their family, are above the law, for sure.

How does this relate to the post you are responding to?
It was in relation to people who give blanket pardons to multiple family members and close associates, even those that have admitted to crimes.

I explained why he did that. With Trump's retributiin tour on the horizon, I would have done the same. I'm betting you would have too.

You really want to put your family through something like this:

Sucks. We have enough violence in the United States already. No need to push for more.

Agent provocateurs will provoke. Fed posters will fed post. People on the ground should exercise the highest degree of judgment. We are dealing with fascists, after all. Thankfully we have not yet become a fully-fascist society.

I explained why he did that.

For sure. Because he thought he and his family were above the law, and even after admitting to crimes they should not be sentenced or have to repay society.

Yeah, we get it. Blanket pardons are legal; as long as your guy is in power, you can commit any crime and get away with it.

Doesn't make it right, but my opinion is unpopular.

Quote the part that allows for pardons of future offenses.

Provide a link to any pardon issued by any president for future offenses.

Guys could have done anything they wanted, after the pardon was signed, and been immune.

I'm glad they didn't take advantage of the situation.

You omitted the fact that Biden would not have done this blanket, pre-emptive pardon if the President-elect was of sane and sound mind. It's no secret that Trump was gunning for these people (i.e the Jan 6 committee) and left Biden no choice.

He's dodging it heartily. 😀

I'm sure Biden had his reasons for preemptively pardoning people and protecting his family from paying their societal debt for crimes they admitted to committing.

Presidents always do.

What crimes did "they" admit to?

Question; When is an offense against the government not yet committed, considered an offense against the government?

Answer; Never.

Good thing you’re not a lawyer or English teacher, because you utterly failed to comprehend the simple language of our Constitution, and the pardons you linked,

both explicitly denoting the period of time when their actions are pardoned.

****ing embarrassing! 😄

So what about the Jan 6 committee? What did they do that deserved jail time?
