Solid evidence a quid pro quo has finally been established

After watching all the testimony over the last few weeks at the impeachment hearings, I have to admit that I didn't think they would come up with any solid evidence establishing a quid pro quo with the Ukraine took place, but that's exactly what happened today. They finally got a witness with first hand information who's testimony proves there was a quid pro quo.

So I was wrong and I admit it.

The difference is Obama/Biden did it as part of a united strategy with our allies.

Trump did it for personal benefit.

In 2016, Christine Lagarde,who was then head of the IMF (International Monetary Fund), warned Ukraine that it would halt 40 Billion dollars in aid to Ukraine unless Ukraine took immediate action to clean up corruption.

Here is Christine Lagarde's statement:

“without a substantial new effort” to improve governance, it was hard to see how the Washington-based organization could continue to provide financial help."

“I am concerned about Ukraine’s slow progress in improving governance and fighting corruption, and reducing the influence of vested interests in policy making,” she said.

“Without a substantial new effort to invigorate governance reforms and fight corruption, it is hard to see how the IMF-supported program can continue and be successful. Ukraine risks a return to the pattern of failed economic policies that has plagued its recent history. It is vital that Ukraine’s leadership acts now to put the country back on a promising path of reform.”



Joe Biden, in full compliance with U.S.foreign policy, spearheaded the efforts on the part of the U.S., the IMF and the EU to convince Ukraine that they could either continue ignoring the deep corruption at the core of their leadership, or they could clean it out and receive the billions of relief from all three-- the U.S., IMF and the EU.

Joe Biden was working on behalf of any country giving aid to Ukraine, he was not withholding money in order to get help in his presidential bid or for any other reason but for that reason I have stated. Donald Trump on the other hand was trying to get dirt on the Biden's and have Ukraine do a phony investigation into a conspiracy theory, or they would not get their money. That's abusive power. That's impeachable.

Don't you think that if any republicans, particularly Trump, thought at any point in time that Joe Biden or Hunter Biden has done anything at all illegal that they wouldn't have jumped down their necks about it in 2017, or 2018 or the first 7 months of 2019?? Would they really just sit on that?

Actually, there is a ton of evidence that Trump did engage in a quid pro quo.

Even Mulvaney admitted to it.

Oh Grim.

I can’t actually believe how much during the Obama administration you used to give grandstanding, nauseating proclamations about how much you value truth and honesty and fairness.

What other reason could there possibly be, for Trump to personally get involved with a criminal matter with a foreign President when there is hundreds of millions of dollars of military aid on the table, about a person who just so happens to be one of the most likely people to be his rival in the upcoming Presidential election.

In what universe, besides the fact that his name has an (R) next to it, would that be anything other than personal?

Have some ****ing respect for yourself, for once in your life, have some respect for yourself.
 

So why didn't the Trump DO take care of it long before this? Why didn't Collins demand an investigation into Biden 3 years ago?

First, nobody knows, especially you, what the purpose was for asking about the Biden's...
Second, the only way it could possibly be considered "dirt" is if Joe Biden's actions were corrupt, illegal and/or self-serving. If that was the case, then we all deserve to know.
Third, neither you or anyone else has produced any solid evidence that the request made by Trump was a quid pro quo, rather than just a favor as was shown in the transcripts... And as long no quid pro quo can be definitively established, Trump can only be accused of possibly attempting to do precisely what Hillary Clinton did in 2016, when she paid to have a dossier of dirt compiled on Trump that used information gathered from Russians and other foreign government sources.
