Trump has now claimed that Cohen's prosecutors, people whom Trump appointed, are trying to embarrass him.

Maybe they are; maybe they aren't. Either way, if that's truly what one believes, the thing to do is not dignify their remarks, the ones one presumes they made for that purpose, by responding to them. To the extent one does respond to them, one gives them credence, "air," and doing that, particularly if one's rebuttals are, as are Trump's, puerile.

Moreover, by responding to stuff one thinks absurd and merely mentioned to malign one's reputation, one abets the fruition of one's detractors' ends to embarrass one. If few to no folks were of a mind that embarrassing one was another's aim, once one posits that be others' aim, one, most especially one having a presidential "megaphone," one impels others to consider whether one is right, thereby inviting greater risk that observers now conclude that one deserves to be shamed.

Lastly, I find laughable the notion of anyone doing something to shame Trump. There's little to no evidence the man is capable of that emotion, and I can't be the only person who's noticed that.

If prosecutors are seeking anything other than justice then they are corrupt....that is your "so what".

Well, AFAIK, prosecutors of Cohen have said nothing in the press and constrained the whole of their remarks to search warrant requests, indictments, legal motions, sentencing documents, etc. One'd be hard pressed to make a credible case that their generally public quiescence and submission of legally required (by procedure) documents evinces their seeking to achieve anything other than convictions and corresponding penalties for the defendants whom they've convicted. Prosecutors doing their job(s) the way the job is supposed to be done does not constitute attempting to embarrass anyone.

Remember Cohen's prosecutors/investigators aren't the one's airing their case and arguments in the court of public opinion.

He's a slug. He doesn't seem capable of feeling shame in a normal sense of the word. However, he does seem highly vulnerable to a feeling of humiliation.

(Which explains so many of his early morning tweets where he says so many stupid things and in spite of himself sets himself up for so much more humiliation.)

So, if prosecutors do "embarrass" him, then bonus. But of course they're making very sure that they can justify every move they make. Because they're not stupid.
