So much for unity, Biden

You can’t have unity with people far more loyal to Donald Trump than the United States.
Such nonsense. I'd say the problem is liberal thought and democrats willing to trash the Constitution to achieve their very extreme goals.

That reminds me of the sentiment of those of us who really liked Trump America first policy and accomplishments - you can't have unity with people more intent on trying to bring one man down, even to the extent of fomenting racial division (even death) - than caring about the future and safety of their own country and its citizens.

Yawn. The Trump Cult’s persecution complex is truly a sight to behold.

I’m sure you would. After all, you’ve already proven you don’t have the slightest clue about the real world

Certainly a strongly worded opinion of half the country
Except it isn't half no matter how hard you wish it were.

Certainly a strongly worded opinion of half the country but, in all honesty, my mind heads to the exact same spot about the other half, quite often. I think this poll representing the same thing we've experienced since 2016 - just might be the new norm and I can't help but wonder how that will ultimately work itself out.
I think the big difference is that Dems hated Trump. Truly hated the man to the point where they opposed policies that they had previously supported, enthusiastically (e.g. border wall).

I could take or leave Biden, personally. At this point he's simply sad. But the policies he is pushing are horrible, and partisan and IMHO ruinous.

You think packing the Court is a good idea?

Republicans dropped the corporate tax rate by 15%. Biden wants to raise it 8. Thats a fair compromise. The GOP says no.

The new norm in "unity"?

Biden has nearly 90-point approval gap between Democrats, Republicans: poll (msn.com)

"The poll found that 96 percent of Democrats approve of Biden's early job performance, while only 10 percent of Republicans do."

It would be just like a Trumpist to cite Trumpists' express lock-step hatred of the Democrat because Trump told them to as evidence that the person they were ordered to hate is divisive.

How magnificently stupid and trollingly dishonest.

Christ.

You think packing the Court is a good idea?

You mean denying a Democratic president his nominee 11 months before an election but confirming a Republican one 11 weeks before an election? That kind of unity building courtpacking?

A trillion dollar infrastructure plan. Pulling troops out of Afghanistan.
I was wondering if you might be talking about infrastructure. Biden certainly hasn't pulled that off yet - BUT if he were to get a lower cost infrastructure bill passed that kept the actual infrastructure pieces of his proposal and removed all the unrelated stuff AND with Republican support - wouldn't that mean it's the Republicans who are willing to participate in bipartisanship? Trump would have loved a bill for 700 billion on actual infrastructure, but Nancy would never have introduced or passed that when Trump was in office, allowing a Trump infrastructure success.

I think that the Trump cult reaps what it sows, and since it’s decided that the best way to “win” is to ensure nothing gets done I really could care less about its mewling about “court packing”.

Confirming Integrityrespec's observation.

Trump wanted a trillion dollar plan.

Oh, and I meant to comment on Afghanistan too. That's something I think either Trump or Biden would have or will get some bipartisan support on and strong bipartisan objections too. I think that one is a mixed bag on support or opposition, from both parties, and for good reason (for both sides of the issue). Lots of valid pros and cons on that particular topic. It might feel quite successful at first but if the Taliban gets all sorts of renewed strength, it might suddenly feel very unsuccessful. History will be need to play out for us to know how that turns out.

A bit off topic, but we still have 2000 troops in Japan. 75 years after the war ended.
