I certainly am glad isolationists didn’t succeed in enabling the enslavement of millions under brutal dictators like the Kim family.

Quite right, the successful United Nations assistance to the ROK in defending itself in a civil war between itself and the DPRK resulted in the establishment of a -brutal, oppressive, military dictatorship- kind, honest, benevolent, progressive, democratic society in the ROK under the -brutal, oppressive, military dictatorships- kind, honest, benevolent, progressive, democratic leaderships of Syngman Rhee and Park Chung-hee, Chung Doo-hwan (between 1948 and 1998).[/S]

South Korea today certainly is a progressive and democratic country, whereas North Korea has only gotten more and more psychotically brutal.....which is a clear cut demonstration of why the UN’s intervention to stop the Kim family cult from enslaving South Korea was a good one.

Actually, it left us in an amazing position as everyone else killed each other and we were left sitting pretty. The same couldn't be said when we're in a constant state of war. Also, you didn't answer which ally we didn't defend.

If by “amazing position” you mean “would have struggled to put up a fight against Romania or Yugoslavia” that is 🙄

I specifically provided examples of the allies it is especially important to defend.

Then get some

Problem solved

Lol what? Again, you can’t just pull a general out of thin air.

Another reason your percentage plan is a flop is that not not every military is the same size from the start, which means that the percentages don’t add up. Ten percent of the British Army is not the same number as ten percent of, say, the Belgian Army.

I didn't "complain" about it, I simply stated a known fact.

I didn't "equate Taiwan to the Confederacy", I simply stated known historical and legal facts.

The known historical fact which is actually relevant is that the CPC has promised to invade if Taiwan gives up claims to the mainland, which makes your complaining about it having said claims patently absurd.

Then they better up their game or they are on their own

Again, how is a country like Luxembourg supposed to get more soldiers? Invent a cloning device?
2% of their gdp needs to go to the military or they are on their own
