81% of Evangelical Christians think we should become officially a Christian nation. 65% of Republicans think we should. Up to 43% of all Americans think we should. Not a majority, but a large plurality of Americans think that we should become a Christian Nation, most likely in the image of Israel. So first, can they force it upon us through the present SCOTUS? And second, do you think we should become a Christian nation?

Amendment 1:

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof, , , ,

So NO - we should NOT become a "Christian Nation".

What is meant by becoming a Christian nation?

No. Ours is a deliberately secular nation, and hopefully always will be.

First I would question the source of your data and how it was determined.

No, no and hell no. No religion should become the official religion of the United States. No religion should be represented in government. No government should represent religion.

Please define "Christian Nation".

So first, can they force it upon us through the present SCOTUS?
I don't think so.

And second, do you think we should become a Christian nation?
Depending upon what you think a Christian nation is, I would likely say no.

Where are you getting these numbers?

I think politicians should push for spirituality but no official religion

Yup, over my dead body, and I daresay quite a few more besides.

I just googled it and there was plenty of data there. I found it hard to conceive that so many Americans would be so stupid, but the polls were from good sources. too tired tonight to link them all.
