Should the U.S. have open borders?

Anybody should be allowed to come here and get free housing, free medical care, free food and free entertainment as they feel meets their needs.
Illegals do not get free housing, free food etc , they do not get free medical care either except in the ER because what is the alrerlnative?

demand papers from accident victims and drag the ones that cant produce them out onto the street to die?

Is that what Jesus would do?
The US should subsidize absolutely anyone that asks for assistance because THAT is the only way we can save democracy!
Constant lies from you.

Why do you think that works?

They don't get that stuff now but if we install a REAL president they certainly will and America will be all the better for it. Imagine how much everyone would love it is we just gave everyone with a want all that they could ever ask for? It would be the utopia we all dream of and it could happen if we just elect a non-binary person of color with a compelling life story!

Such weird dishonest crap.

Nobody believes or suggests that.

Why lie about it?

Are you ok?

How will America be better for it? We need more young people. This makes no sense.

The constitution does not require it. Read it.
Of course it does.

5th and 14th amnendments.

What do you think of this......

"The administration is “asserting a right to stash away residents of this country in foreign prisons without the semblance of due process that is the foundation of our constitutional order,” wrote Judge J. Harvie Wilkinson in an opinion for a panel of the 4th Circuit Court of Appeals.

“Further, it claims in essence that because it has rid itself of custody that there is nothing that can be done,” he wrote. “This should be shocking not only to judges, but to the intuitive sense of liberty that Americans far removed from courthouses still hold dear.”

Not my problem.

They aren’t allowed in the country.
I mean...homelessness kinda becomes everyone's problem, so in a way, it IS your problem...just at a degree of removal and separation that may allow you to ignore it.

where in the 5th and 14th amendments does it state foreigners who are citizens of other countries are entitled to it? That is what I am saying.

Should anyone and everyone be permitted to emigrate to the U.S.?

Should they receive housing, medical care, food, education, and legal representation all paid for by current U.S. residents?

Should there be any reasons to disqualify a potential immigrant?
Despite the long-running disinformation campaigns, the U.S. has never had open borders.

And it should not, unless perhaps in some future nigh-utopian case where having open borders does not risk the safety of our people unnecessarily.

Are you ok?
Oh come on, these are some of the greatest solutions to all the trouble in the US! Once we put all the liberal/progressives in charge it will be a beautiful world where nobody has any want or need and there will be no crime because nobody will ever need anything ever again...or they'll be euthanized because they're old. It will be just like Logan's Run only better!

Yes. The U.S. Constitution guarantees due process rights to all individuals, regardless of immigration legal status.

"the Supreme Court ruled that these constitutional protections apply to all aliens within the United States, including those who entered unlawfully, declaring that aliens who have once passed through our gates, even illegally, may be expelled only after proceedings conforming to traditional standards of fairness encompassed in due process of law.3 The Court reasoned that aliens physically present in the United States, regardless of their legal status, are recognized as persons guaranteed due process of law by the Fifth and Fourteenth Amendments.4 Thus, the Court determined, [e]ven one whose presence in this country is unlawful, involuntary, or transitory is entitled to that constitutional protection.5"

Again this isn't the constitution. It's cool that some people who job is to "interpret" the constitution the way they want aligns with what you think. But again it is not in the constitution itself.

Firstly this assumes that everyone wants to live in the US.
This may shock you but that's simply not the case.

I'd love to visit the US but have no wish to live there.

Secondly, who exactly is asking for totally open borders?

Oh come on, these are some of the greatest solutions to all the trouble in the US!
Complete and utter nonsense.

those are not liberal solutions.

Why lie?

Your point is a straw man on steroids. Real liberal positions are hard for you to refute so you make up ridiculous lies.

I dont get what you think you accomplish with ridiculous lies.

OK....just euthanize everyone over 40 and open the borders to anyone under 20. Perfect!

You're being hysterical. And dodging the point.

Yes ot is.

The 5th and the 14th. Apply to all persons present in the US regardless of immigration status.

This is long settled. Not in doubt.

The constitution gives the Supreme court the final say in questions of constitutionality. The Supreme court determined long ago and still affirms that the constitutional protections of due process apply to all persons present in the US.

Their work is final.

Case closed.

Seems like you need a civics course.

The current courts affirm this.

From a conservative Reagan appointed appellate judge.

"The administration is “asserting a right to stash away residents of this country in foreign prisons without the semblance of due process that is the foundation of our constitutional order,” wrote Judge J. Harvie Wilkinson in an opinion for a panel of the 4th Circuit Court of Appeals.

ok so cite that then instead of giving me decisions by other courts.

you said the Supreme Court gets the final say yet you keep citing other courts.

No point?
What point would you like anyone to make? You deny that Garcia was afforded due process. You deny that he was here illegally. You deny anything and everything anyone tells you that is contrary to your opinion no matter the support for that position offered. There is literally no point anyone can make that you'll accept UNLESS it agrees with your misguided opinion.

What point would you like anyone to make?
Something.

He quoted my post and said nothing. Blank.
You deny that Garcia was afforded due process.
Its not me denying it. It is a fact.

This well renowned Reagan appointed appelate judge said this:

"The administration is “asserting a right to stash away residents of this country in foreign prisons without the semblance of due process that is the foundation of our constitutional order,” wrote Judge J. Harvie Wilkinson in an opinion for a panel of the 4th Circuit Court of Appeals.

You deny that he was here illegally.
It is a fact that at the time he was deported he had a non removal order and the legal right to be here and work.
You deny anything and everything anyone tells you that is contrary to your opinion no matter the support for that position offered.
no support from credible sources is offered. Its BS.

FACTS MATTER.

No it's not.
You really don't have a clue, do you?

They have a right to apply for assylum. That is the law. If there is a back up, "We" need to surge to the border to process them.
Apply for and admitting entry to the country are two different things, are they not?
What was your problem with the 'Remain in Mexico' policy? Isn't immigration selection at the source standard practice?

I'm so sick of the lies.
You should direct your ire to the Biden administration which lied to you for literally years about the border chaos.

What's it like to be constantly lied to and fall for it every time?
You should ask yourself, vis-a-vie Biden and his admin lying about the border chaos.
Seems like you are still ensconced in that lie, and can't see you way out of it, if you even really wanted to.

I would be looking for better sources of info if I were you.
