Should the FCC be able to appoint a bias monitor for media to report back to the president?

Seems that is what the Skydance deal involves.

So it seems they will have someone in place who is supposed to report bias in the media back to the president.

How much closer are we to state TV at this point? Trump basically attacks everyone and they just roll over and take it.

I wonder if that includes South Park?

**** Sky Dance for agreeing to this.

The ONLY tool FCC has in this is to threaten to revoke station transmitter licenses.
Don't take my word for it, FCC Rules & Regulations, Part 95 and Part 15.
The problem is, our own ignorance of the facts, over the air TV is on life support because almost 90 percent of viewers no longer rely on antennas for TV.
So the FCC threat is an empty one which would likely hurt rural Trump viewers the most.

It will be sad if CBS becomes another faux, but there's nothing I can do about it.

In the end, fascists only ever get stopped the one way.

Paramount just signed a deal for $1.5 billion with the creators of South Park for many more episodes. Seems Skydance's bias monitor will be hitting SOS over the next few years. :ROFLMAO:

So...you are opposed to organizations that measure media bias. Does that include the likes of https://mediabiasfactcheck.com/category/bias/ ?

Do they report directly to the president?
Why can't one report directly to the President? Does the President have to rely on ones that have their own bias?

As I pointed out in Post #11:

Not at all the same, and I suspect you understand quite well the difference between the GOVERNMENT's putting in place a "bias monitor" and an online company's assessing bias and credibility.

No matter what Trump does, it's nothing compared to what the Democrats did during Covid.

The only thing FCC can threaten is to shut off local station transmitters.
Do it, watch who gets hurt the most: RURAL TRUMP VOTERS.

Everyone else watches streaming, satellite or cable and FCC is not able to shut those down because they are privately leased spectrum serving paying subscribers.
Call Brendan's bluff, dare him to cut the transmitters, dare him to throw a blanket over the public airwaves.

There ya have it, folks. An open admission that this poster will accept anything Trump does.

"Bias monitor" sounds as stupid as "diversity consultant."
