You really refuse to have honest conversations, don't you? You outright reject them.
You know what they say Josie?
"Seeing is believing"

No Josie
COVID is a NEW phenomenon
One more time
How well are you educators and our public school system doing in the U.S?
Exactly. I don't think teachers have had it easy this year at all. My husband and I get text messages throughout the day, after school and before from both my sons' teachers, almost all of them (the one in middle school has about 3 of his teachers texting us, but that makes sense since he has one teacher who is his contact teacher but he also has an advanced math where all but 3 other students are in the grade above him). How "well" we're doing? Many aren't doing well at all. Most have had the worst school year of their entire careers. They've had to learn new technologies and ways of teaching in record time, they've had to turn their kitchens and living rooms into classrooms, they've had to literally be on call 24 hours a day for parents' questions all the while worrying about Covid for themselves and their families and really worrying about those kiddos who are stuck at home with parents who won't get them in contact with their teacher. I've seen teachers and administrators breaking down in tears because this has been such a suck-ass year that's taken an emotional and physical toll on everyone involved. I've seen more parents crying at conferences than I've ever seen before. You think you know -- you don't know.
And yet they have one. Are you contradicting your own legislature here? Do you think student teachers are the same as actual teachers?
It doesn't matter what I say. You truly don't care. You believe what you want to believe even though you have no first-hand knowledge or experience. So.... ta ta.
Rhetoric coming from your own legislature? That just reduced the quality needed for a teacher to address the teacher shortage that they have admitted to. Denial is not just a river in Egypt here.My area is one of the fastest growing areas in all of Idaho and there is NO shortage of teachers
You're just falling for the rhetoric

Idaho’s teacher shortage is widespread — and it isn’t going away
The evidence is anecdotal but widespread. Some school administrators left teaching jobs vacant this fall, others hired teachers through alternative routes.www.idahoednews.org
There is plenty of evidence already posted that shows you are wrong, regardless of your claims.
That mean jack shit on the internet, nothing more than anecdotal claims that can't be verified. Why should anyone believe you when even your state's own legislature admits that isn't true?Sorry, I give you first hand accounts
There is NO shortage of teachers here(wink)

Did it ever dawn on you that you are wrong?Did it ever dawn on you that with all the people moving to Idaho(From Blue states) that there is Teachers moving here as well looking for a job?
Oh my....
Doesn't change that people can lie and make whatever claims they want. Some people don't even have to lie, just be simply wrong. You do know that the "internet" is just a form of communication right?
Did it ever dawn on you that you are wrong?
Come on over then(wink)Doesn't change that people can lie and make whatever claims they want. Some people don't even have to lie, just be simply wrong.
Why? They chose to be a farmer. I like that we have farmers, but that doesn't change that farmers chose that profession. Farmers likely prefer not to deal with other people that much and have different personalities than teachers. Pretty sure most farmers would not prefer to be a teacher (although some are probably married to teachers, and I know of at least one that was one).Exactly. Yeah?
Compare them to a FARMER who is working 14 to 16 hr days every year(sigh)
No. Don't care for Idaho at all. I'll go with the official sources rather than the guy on the Internet who makes claims he can't actually back up.I invite you to our school/Dist.
And you will see you're wrong(wink)

And leaving. Or aren't actually qualified to teach, but are allowed to do so because actual qualified teachers are hard to come by, due to a nationwide shortage.I worked in a school dist for 18yrs and there is NO shortage of teachers(Hello)
They just keep coming!
