Ah MAGA, always finding new ways to handle the "mental health crisis" in America.

It appears that Fox & Friends hosts believe that if you refuse mental health treatment you should be locked up...or put to death.

Lawrence Jones believes incarceration or locking people up in mental health institutions is the way to go, but Brian Kilmeade (ironic name) goes that step further and suggests "involuntary lethal injection. Or something. Just kill them".

JONES: Put him in a mental institution, put him in a jail, and you guys figure it out. But people
having to duck and dive on the trains and the buses, walking through the street, this is one
case, but this is happening all across the country, and it's not a money issue. They have given
billions of dollars to mental health and the homeless population. A lot of them don't want to
take the programs, a lot of them don't want to get the help that is necessary. You can't give
them a choice. Either you take the resources that we're going to give you and — or you
decide that you are going to be locked up in jail. That's the way it has to be now.

BRIAN KILMEADE (FOX HOST): Or involuntary lethal injection.

JONES: Yeah.

KILMEADE : Or something. Just kill them.

As I've said multiple times, Republicans are not pro life, they are pro fetus. Once a fetus is born, it can die in multiple ways, some forced upon them by government.

But we are not supposed to say that they are Nazis.
This is precisely what Hitler did, anyone deemed insane, incorrigible, disabled, whatever outraged the Reich, the solution was to put them to death.

Holy shit!!!! They're actually talking about killing homeless people.

Words fail me on this one.

He said it without a moment's hesitation, with no remorse. These people are sick and twisted.

Killing the undesirables and outcasts is something fascists do.

The left just puts them to death before birth. Healthy, unhealthy - doesn't matter. If they're unwanted, kill them.

And, no, I don't agree that we should just kill people who refuse mental health treatment. If their condition is severe enough to be a danger to others, they need to be involuntarily treated.

Bla bla bla.

Do you support executing homeless people?

What a couple disgusting examples of the human species.

Refuse mental health treatment? REFUSE mental health treatment! OMG! As a mentally ill person, I can tell you the problem is obtaining mental health treatment. Getting the meds. Seeing a psychologist or psychiatrist on a regular basis, that's the problem. You know how much that costs? What happens is eventually you run out of money and you're forced to go on Medicaid. Mental health services for those on Medicaid are EXTREMELY limited.

BTW, there are far too few mental health institutions in which to lock people up. That's why there are so many in prison. I've spent time in jails for mental illness, and I'm extremely lucky not to have gone to prison.

Refusing mental health treatment. 🙄

Pssst, a fetus is not a baby.

Yes, I know that's what you've all told yourselves. It's not the first time in history when humans weren't considered human.

Put to death? Heavens, no.

I just want a return to the time before the mental institutions were shut down and the severely mentally ill became a police problem. I blame Reagan for that.

Yeah, nope.

BTW you guys seem blissfully unconcerned about the health and welfare of children once they're born what with eviscerating Medicaid, food stamps, etc.

But feel free to continue your self-righteous breast-beating.

Sure, sure. No red states have any kind of assistance for poor people. No Republicans ever vote for programs to help those in need. No people on the right gives to charities. No people on the right ever help anyone who needs it. Churches -- pfft -- they just keep all the money. Every one of them.

Mental asylums were closed because of rampant, unconscionable, torturous abuse and neglect. Reporters went undercover, took pictures, wrote articles, and the vast public outcry forced the closures. There wasn't really a backup plan. So, jail, prison, and homeless shelters for the mentally ill. Of course, jail and prison cost taxpayers much more than treatment would have.

Hey, you're making progress. 😂

Thanks for sharing your experiences.

The police and prison systems have become surrogate mental health providers and they couldn't be less qualified.

Professional mental health outpatient treatment including necessary medications would be orders of magnitude less expensive and much more effective.

I knew you'd love that comment. You're not making genuine arguments here. When you're ready to be honest about the topic, we can talk.

Once I was put on the right combination of meds, I stopped self-medicating with alcohol and drugs. I wish it would have happened much sooner.

What would you like to talk about once we've agreed that a fetus is part of a woman's body and not a human life?

Is a fertilized egg a human life the moment the sperms permeates the egg? If not, why not?
