Being given a court date for an asylum hearing is not amnesty. The only illegals that have received amnesty are the 12 million or so that were granted amnesty by a failed comprehensive immigration bill signed into law during the Reagan Administration. I do not respect them; however, they are legal and not subject to deportation.
I think we are done here. You start off with a friendly "Hi", but when frustrated, go to hyper partisan veiled ad hominems. US immigration laws should be enforced. It's not okay to arrogantly sneak across any nation's border. It is not only illegal, its disrespectful to the nation they claim to want to be a part of. Then they disrespect further when they wave the flag of the country, they claim to be fleeing during anti-Ice protests. And it is the direct result of the narrow minded me first and let everybody else rot mentality that is pushed by the MAGA movement.

Take care.Hi,
If you read other posts, you could have noticed that I address friendly people with their name and never with 'Hi'. There are very few exceptions to this. Please do not ever think again that I am being friendly to you. I may at times choose to be polite, but do not mistaken that for friendliness.

So since you can’t actually address the point I made, you had to insult me personally. LolHi Rahl,
Overthrowing every government in central America, followed by a long period of violence made people flee their country. Now it boggles my mind why the hell they would wanna go to your country in the first place, but since you carry some responsibility in all this as well, you could deal with it in slightly more humane manner. You spend money on bombs, why not try to spend a few dollars on schools for them? Maybe they would prefer to stay home after all? Getting my drift? Or are you yourself the one who is too retarded to comprehend this?
Joey
Life isn't fair.
Yes, the “arrogance” sneaking across our border and working 2-3 jobs, paying taxes while receiving no benefits from them, supporting entire industries that Americans desperately need. All for the low price of below market wages and a virtually crime free community. I would trade ten red state residents for just one of these “arrogant” folks.I think we are done here. 1. No it wasn't. Life isn't fair. What I'm asking is people to follow the law. There are a lot of immigrants that do just that. They are not rich or have anything extra. They wait their turn.I find this statement interesting for three reasons:
1) it’s an acknowledgement that your original statement was disingenuous. You know what you’re asking of them isn’t something they can practically do if they want to stay in the U.S.
2) it reveals your true position, which is you want as little immigration as possible. The idea that immigrants must follow the rules is just a convenient rationalization.
3) you don’t believe life isn’t fair for yourself because you support a politician who you think will make life more fair in the way you define it. We could make the same statement about all the grievances that Trump supporters, who think of themselves as perpetual victims, have about the world and the society they find themselves in.
So, it’s almost as if there’s not a single thing you’re saying that’s true. And the common strand between all this is your own personal self interest, at least how you define it.

2. No it is not. I want as little ILLEGAL immigration as possible.
3. Not a Trump supporter. The fact that you imply such, invalidates all other arguments you have.
You can stop the act. The hard-working farmer image was more suited to the 1960s and they were paid under the table. Today it's about two things. Shady employers looking for cheap labor and the democrats looking to change voting demographics.Yes, the “arrogance” sneaking across our border and working 2-3 jobs, paying taxes while receiving no benefits from them, supporting entire industries that Americans desperately need. You’re half right: we know virtually all of this labor benefits wealthy usually right wing business owners. That’s why we’ve seen zero arrests of the folks creating the labor economy for all these “criminals”.You can stop the act. You are pretty much making that up as you go along. The stats do not differentiate between right wing and left wing business owners. You’re half right: we know virtually all of this labor benefits wealthy usually right wing business owners.
So, are you suggesting that ICE checks for owner or CEO party registration before making a bust? That’s why we’ve seen zero arrests of the folks creating the labor economy for all these “criminals”.
That's a very odd statement considering that your democrat party had its ass handed to it in the 2024 elections. The vote seems to be trending towards conservatism, not away from it. Young people included.Voting demographics are changing because young people don’t see a future in conservatism, which makes sense. It’s in the name.

Bwahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha! George Soros is not a business owner? Mark Cuban is not a business owner? Jeff Bezos is not a business owner? How about Ben and Jerrys? are those two owners not libruls? There is no such thing as a left wing business owners.

ROFLMAO!!!!!!Jeff Bezos - the same guy who literally turned the Washington Post into a Trump Propaganda Leaflet?
I am beginning to not take you at all seriously. No, there is no such thing as a left wing business owner.

I basically empathize with the reasons behind their illegal plight. In a perfect world every immigrant could enter the US legally, as it stands, such a world doesn't exist.I see your connection
So you are ok with people coming into the country illegally or staying illegally but you want to point finger at Trump because of his legal actions
As far as Trump is concerned, cutting legal and ethical corners is his stock and trade. Trump is creating undocumented people. You appear to have zero concern over his legally questionable methods.... you're probably excited over them while fully supporting them. You're saying its ok for illegals to do illegal things but its not ok for Trump to
AND
you think I'm saying its NOT ok to be here illegally but its OK for Trump to do illegal things
The thing is that your focus on the illegality of foreigners appears suspiciously cherry-picked....a politically charged, faux rage.here is where you're wrong - I don't condone doing illegal things. For Trump's actions he was tried on court wasn't he? Fined? Held accountable for his actions? isn't that what we're doing with illegally here people? holding them accountable and deporting them for being here illegally ?
What taxes don't undocumented immigrants pay? In objective reality. They are illegal. They don’t Pay most taxes, but still consume services and resources.
And I pointed out your agreement has no bearing on objective reality.
Be real. $12 a day for food in NYC is next to nothing. The main incentives for people to come is either to flee shitty circumstances or try to get ahead economically. It's certainly an incentive.
I say the same thing about states like Ohio when they pass those unpopular abortion bans. But CA doesn't have the ridiculous gerrymandering that Ohio does, making the legislature out of touch with the majority of the public. NY has some, but not nearly as badly as Ohio. It's not the people of those two states that are willing. It's the idiot politicians.
Trump has recognized that undocumented immigrants are important for several industries and has backed off arresting and deporting them. I would argue that there are a lot more industries that need these workers to operate effectively.
Those immigrants who haven't committed crimes and are productively employed - should they be allowed to remain and given a path to citizenship?
