Yes?

No?

Other.

Why?

I say yes so he can continue to be productive and the Red Sox can put a productive bat in his place.

I love Ortiz but he is hitting .190!

Teaming up again with his pal Manny Ramirez would be good for all concerned.

Before or after Manny gets back from suspension?

I would say only if Boston gets back full value. Boston stands in a good spot to make the playoffs this year, or at least challenge for a playoff spot. At some point, he is going to pull it together, and he is valuable for a playoff push.

Either before OR after July 4th is ok with me but before September for sure!

Whatever they can get for him is ok with me. Shedding his salary will do a lot to help get a productive bat in his place. The Sox aren't guaranteed a playoff spot with him in the lineup.

Oh, they certainly are not, but he is a better player than his numbers indicate. Sooner or later, he is going to get his stroke right, and when that happens, he will be a valuable part of a playoff push.

Who would you like to see Boston get for him?

Do the Dodgers even want Papi?

No they don't also where would Big Papi play not at 1st Base they have James Loney who is a RBI machine and is a solid d at first.

Ortiz is a DH, there's no way that he's going to an NL team. It's hard enough having Manny over here since he fields his position so terribly (but his bat more than makes up for that ;)).

Scout: Ortiz is older than reported | Truth&Rumors | FanNation

The theories on David Ortiz's descent are plentiful. They range from physical (he never recovered from wrist and knee injuries), to strategic (he misses Manny Ramirez batting behind him), to mental (he's got no confidence), to visual (he said he plans to get his eyes checked), to pure speculation (he's older than his stated age of 33 or he's no longer using steroids). "The chances of his birth certificate being accurate are zero," the scout said. "That's both birth certificates. Remember, he was David Arias [when he played in the minor leagues for] Seattle."
