Shooting at Maryland Shopping Mall.

Should we wait for it to get to the same level of occurrence before we recognize it as a problem?

What a complete non-sequitur: How is me responding to the mung-headed idea that mass public shooting occur at anything close to the rate of inner city violence an endorsement "not to do anything"?

Think before you write, Phil.

Maybe there aren't enough good guys, with guns.

Cops--the good guys--show up with a gun; sometimes, two guns. The attacks typically end when, or shortly after, the cops show up.

Most are finished before the cops even arrive.

Not their fault as they can't be everywhere.

Probably half are still in progress when the cops arrive.

Seriously? I mean in the op she drew no conclusions!

I see. These shootings only happen in states with tight gun controls.

Except wait, you can carry handguns in Maryland.
From your link:
Maryland is a "may-issue" state, meaning you have to have a "good and substantial reason" in order to be issued a permit to carry. "Good and substantial reasons" include police-documented death threats (and the permit is revoked when you can't re-prove ongoing threats), or employment in an armed capacity such as a armored-car service (and your permit only allows you to carry while on the job). If a Maryland citizen can't document a "good and substantial reason", they can't carry a handgun.

As I said, your regular Joe cannot carry a handgun in Maryland.

How about North Carolina, Florida, Alabama, Arizona and Texas?

A quick google search shows plenty of media attention, nationally, on shootings in Chicago involving minorities.

MSNBC reports black on black gang crime? In their precious Chicago, AKA "gun free zone"?

So the short answer to my question is "no".

Yes. They do. But we weren't talking about MSNBC only. His word was "media". I took it to mean national media.

No, the answer was that short of partisan stupidity, there wasn't even a basis for your original accusation.

Right. So no we should not wait for them to even out before addressing the problem. I gotcha man. We agree.

The only detail I learned about the shooting today is it was a shotgun.

Oh they all suck. Faux, MSNBC, CNN, all of them. Useless glorified tabloids IMO.

Yep. Hillary Clinton said you have to go to international news agencies to get real news.
