Senator Alex Padilla just ASSAULTED law enforcement

Right. Ill add you to the list of people who believe that their right to free speech (or anything else) trump's everyone else's right. Americans need to get it through their thick heads that left wingers are better than everyone else and, as such, deserving of deference no matter what the circumstances.
Your right to free speech certainly trumps a government officials right not to be interupted.

There is no right not to be interupted.

Did you fail civics in high school or what?

When was the assault? I did not see one. Is trying to stand your ground assault now?
MAGA like @trumptman are delicate snowflakes; a light breeze upon their skin can be considered a horrific assault. This is why it's best to steer clear of them and allow them their safe spaces.

It was a press conference. Padilla, to the best of my knowledge, isn't press. People get kicked out of these kind of events all the time for protesting or interrupting, or even assaulting the speaker. The reason they get kicked out is because they're causing a disturbance. I fully understand that, because you agree with Padilla's political stance, you don't believe that Noem has any right to get her message out but that's YOUR belief, not reality.
Everybody is press.
By this I mean, press don't get special privileges not given to everyone. Everyone is entitled to the first amendment.

Feel free to disrupt pretty much any official proceeding and then explain your case to a judge, not me.

An "official proceeding" is not a press conference.

FFS, it was an official proceeding. You and all the other that are supporting Padilla can feel free to disrupt any official proceeding you like and then argue your case in court.

An "official proceeding" has minutes, is open to the public, and gives people an opportunity to voice their opinions.

Hey, like I said, you're 100% right. Go for doing whatever you feel like in front of any official in any venue. It's your world, the rest of us just live here.

I think this event is emblematic of where we are or what we have become politically in our country. First, the absurdity of her claim that what Trump has done to LA is acceptable, given the mayor and Gov’s disapproval. Second, the Senator (apparently) rudely interrupting a press conference. Third, that Noem did not merely object to the interruption, gently putting the Senator in his place, and that action was taken so quickly to remove him. In normal times, a stern “Please wait your turn, sir” from her would have been her reaction, and his aggressiveness would not have colored his question. And Fourth, left and right will retreat to their corners and spin this predictably, as will we here on DP.

I hear you. "Don't speak, unless we approve it, or goons will make sure you're not 'disturbing the peace.'" Got it.

Democrats spent 2019 through 2024 supressing free speech. They tried hard to keep any dissent from being spoken. They leaned on social media execs to get them to censor opposing voices. Who is for "free speech"? It's not democrats.

Like I said, so 20th century.

Open one's mouth against Trump and expect it to be filled with a boot.

MAGA.

Feel free to take a civics class.

He wont have to explain it to a judge. He wont be charged. He committed no crime. And if he chooses to sue he'll win.

well see, in the eyes of someone that deep throats the boot, that's not the case.

I hear you. "Don't speak, unless we approve it, or goons will make sure you're not 'disturbing the peace.'" Got it.
And there we go back to the "I have a right to free speech and you don't!" argument. OK. Like I keep saying, it's your world and your rules, the rest of us just live here.

Right. There is no place on earth other than Trumpistan where causing a disturbance is a crime!

Yeah it was a press conference they typically have q&A so he could have waited his turn it's just that if he did that everyone would have laughed at him because his ideas are stupid.

That's why these people have to block up streets and throw stupid paintings and take yachts into Gaza because nobody listens to them. They are stupid arrogant imbeciles that don't know anything. And being disruptive ass clowns is the only way they get any attention.

Lots of places on earth. Russia, China, North Korea

But this is America, the USA, here yelling a question at a government official os NOT a crime.

So Democrats keep attacking Federal Officials, Law Enforcement and so on and are SHOCKED that they aren't above the law.

How entitled and privileged do they have to be to think they can just keep throwing tantrums and not expect to get spanked?

Democrats are literally losing their minds. They know their gaslighting, voter fraud, and more are all coming to an end.

His face assaulted their fists,eh?

Gaslighting like a spouse abuser blaming their victim.

I think, based on the garbage I so often read on this site, that some district court judge needs to declare the Constitution to be unconstitutional and order strict judicial control over the nation. That will solve everything!

"...or the right of the people PEACEABLY to assemble, and to petition the government...". You might notice the "peaceably" part of that and busting into a room and demanding a government official start asking questions isn't "peaceably".
