Patriotism is more that just waving a flag and saying I support the military. I guess as long as idiots buy that it is enough they will continue to support these scum who sell our jobs down the river, especially those who do it at the expense of tax payers. American tax payer money should not be used to prop up jobs in other countries. If this is supposed to be a economic stimulus bill it should help American jobs not those in Europe and other parts of the world. Tax dollars shouldn't be used to buy foreign goods when we have companies in the USA that produces those goods.Tax dollars shouldn't be used to employ foreigners at call centers when we have Americans who need jobs. Tax dollars shouldn't be used to hire foreigners to make our national monument(see MLK jr. monument story) when we have artist and architects here in the USA who can do those things.
Senate rejects McCain's amendment to kill 'Buy American' clause
Republican Senator John McCain introduced legislation on Wednesday to strip the "Buy American" provision in the huge U.S. stimulus bill, according to reports.
"I've got an amendment to try to kill it," the former presidential candidate told AFP shortly after introducing the measure.

The bailout bill is meant to help pull America out of recession by stimulating the economy and creating jobs. In its current form, it requires that all steel and iron used for infrastructure projects funded through the stimulation package be U.S. made.
