All of those Obama supporters in 2009 really dont mean much when you consider that in 2017 the Democratic party is a shell of what it use to be
Obama said his legacy and agenda was on the ballot and Trump picked up 30 States to Hillary's 20
Also, the GOP now controls 67 of 98 State partisan legislators.
If living 8 years in the past is some consolation for you then so be it, but I personally think its a bit pathetic.
I'm not an Obama lover per se, but every day Obama was in office he was called everything but a white man (no pun intended - he is half white). He was called N****, a Kenyan, a non-citizen, cartoons showing him to look like an ape. He was called an ape. Michelle was called an ape.
It is a fact that poor Trump didn't get the crowd that Obama did at either inauguration. He didn't get the crowd that Reagan got in 1981. SO ****ING WHAT? I'll tell you why this is pathetic. Crybaby Trump had to make it into an issue. He WON! What more needs to be said. He got to make his doom and gloom speech following being sworn in. Okay, for the upteenth time, we've heard that speech while he was campaigning. And I still don't have a clue what he's talking about. His speeches are so abstract that nobody knows what the hell he's saying.
How he dealt with it was absolutely infantile. Do you, or do you not acknowledge that it is Trump, who is uncontrollably disturbed by this issue, and so much so that he used his trip to the CIA to vent his hurt feelings?
Trump has sued a lot of people who claimed his network is less than he claims. He's egocentric and that's being nice.
If the Democrat party dies tomorrow, so be it. It's their own fault.
But the shell of a party remark was frequently said about the Republicans for the past several years. Now Trump unexpectedly wins so all of a sudden the Republicans are hot stuff. NO, they're not. They're pretty damn divided themselves about a lot of issues related to Trump. And Trump will frequently remind them that they aren't ****, he's the man and they better not forget it. Do you remember what happened when Obama told the Republican leadership during a meeting a few days after he took office that it wasn't going to be like they wanted things, that he won! From that moment on the obstruction game was on.
Trump won, not the Republicans. I don't care how many seats they hold...Trump won, period. Henceforth every media story he dislikes will be called "Fake News" no matter what he says or does. You owe your soul to Trump as far as he's concerned. He wasn't lying when he said all of the forgotten men and women wouldn't be forgotten anymore. He's going to run their lives for them every single day and anyway he wants, no matter the damage and the Republicans are gonna sit quietly and let him do it. Everybody will live with whatever he claims to be the truth or reality. So get use to it. He is your president.
