School Shootings Aren’t Caused By Faulty Gun Laws But By The Collapse Of The Family

A gun is an inanimate object until someone, for any reason, picks it up and uses it. The guns are out there, in circulation already and there is NOTHING anyone can do about it except confiscate them when we catch criminals who are in possession. The 2nd will never be repealed. That monster in TX could have sourced his weapon off of the street in a private sale instead of at a gun store. What we need to be doing is NOT raising monsters who think its ok to kill someone. Look at that kids history. His parents failed horribly in their "social contract duty" to raise a non-murdering productive member of society.

Australian did a nice job getting rid of them.

But you are right, it's merely an inanimate object, but also an object of worship for too many Americans.

Facts...own them. You dont give a **** about dead children. They are a means to an end to you.
Keep posting dishonest stupidity, it’s all you know.

Sorry, adults shouldn't be sacrificing things so 9 year olds can pretend to murder each other all day.
Those games aren't made for 9 year olds. Just like those guns aren't for made for sick men to murder innocent people.

Sorry, video games aren't going anywhere. Find another solution.

You see how east it is to be stubborn?

Well, the family of this 'well-adjusted' 11-year-old is probably intact in upstate NY.

At least it appears that (gun-nut) daddy is still in the home...

... A short time later, a child approached the child who made the threat and told him he can't say that. That child then
said, "My dad has 28 guns at home, and I have access to them. You just wait and see what happens." ...

A fine youngster you're raisin' there, gun-nut daddy........................

Good to see the little shit charged with a FELONY... (y)

That must explain why 90% of the people playing them are 9 years old or younger.
90%? I call bullshit on that.

The games are meant for responsible adults. Juat like guns. You see how that works?

Word.

This is what I’ve been saying. Lack of fathers in the home and cultural family values are no longer time honored tradition in America. In addition the further our country pulls away from God the closer it becomes to Satan.

And the results aren’t pretty

Until we are willing to address the breakdown of family and community, nothing will change, the massacres will continue.

At a press conference Wednesday in the aftermath of the school shooting in Uvalde, Texas, Gov. Greg Abbott almost said something profound. Almost.

Asked by reporters about gun laws in Texas, Abbott responded by talking about the need for more “mental health-resources” — a catch-all term often bandied about by Republican politicians in the wake of mass shootings like the one in Uvalde, in which 19 elementary school kids and two teachers were killed by a deeply disturbed 18-year-old.

Abbott can pretend not to know, but I suspect that he, along with most everyone else in America, knows perfectly well the answer to that question. It has nothing to do with gun technology or gun control laws and everything to do with our corrupt culture, and especially with the collapse of the family.

Hell froze over again. I agree with you on this issue.

You can call it whatever you want, but you obviously haven't played Fortnite.

Yeah, and it's illegal for minors to purchase firearms. And use of firearms doesn't automatically come along with a simulation of murdering people.

The American people like our gun laws?
Yes. It’s why you’ve not been able to amend the constitution to implement the laws you want.

Most people that support red flag laws arent bright enough to realize every state in the country already has laws that allow for the involuntary holding of people deemed to be a threat to themselves or others in their state laws.
Only 19 states and Washington D.C. have enacted some type of red flag law: California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Hawaii, Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Oregon, Rhode Island, Vermont, Virginia, and Washington.
The limit of red flag laws is that officers and local authorities simply don't always know how to, or refuse to, use it.

Not true. EVERY state has provisions where law enforcment or other medical personnel can take any individual into custody that they deem a threat to themselves or others and take them, against their will, to the nearest medical facility where a crisis evaluation is conducted by competent and qualified mental health professionals. If that individual is determeined to indeed be a threat to themselves they are held, against their will, in a secure psychiatric facility until a psychiatrist is willing to certify that they no longer represent a threat to themselves or others.

Video games don't make you go out and shoot someone.
I've been a gamer for almost 40 years (I had a pong machine and have been a gamer ever since.) and I've played countless shooters where I've shot countless people and monsters in the face.
None of that has made me want to go out and get a gun and shoot someone.
Being British I apologise profusely if think I'm in someone's way and characters on a screen are just that, characters.
Computer games no more make someone a criminal than old fashioned cops and robbers game kids played in bygone times.

It's a giant red herring now and always has been.

Monsters will always exist. Guns are uniquely deadly. It’s clear which one has to give.

🤡

Guns are the problem. Period.

Yes, but we like our gun laws. So we have to find another solution. Personally, I think we should stop letting 9 year olds spent 8 hours a day playing video games that do nothing but simulate mass murder. I don't know if it will make a difference in shootings, but it can't hurt anyway.
Again though those games are all over the world, but yeah less screen time wouldn't hurt.

And Hollywood glorifies illegal gun use.

Thats an issue

Horseshit. The fact of the matter is that the only time leftists crawl out from under their rocks to screech about gun deaths is when they have the right combination of victims. You dont care about the day to day death that occurs in the inner cities, perpetrated on and by minorities. Dead children are props to you.

It’s always funny watching confederate flag waving conservatives pretend to care about “the inner cities”.

LOL ... right-wing spinners are workin' overtime.

Yeah, it would be nice if every kid got to grow up in a stable household ... but here's the 800-POUND GORILLA in the room that righties have such great difficulty addressing...

That 18-year-old monster in texas SHOULD NEVER HAVE BEEN ABLE TO LEGALLY PURCHASE THOSE MASS-KILLING MACHINES...
well you want to ban all citizens from buying or owning any guns so your hysterics are rejected as hyperbolic nonsense

Sorry, adults shouldn't be sacrificing things so 9 year olds can pretend to murder each other all day.

Sorry, 9 year olds shouldn’t be sacrificing their lives so adults can pretend to be some “bastion against tyranny”.

Conservatives can blame themselves for the collapse of the family. They oppose community development and government assistance that help keep families together.

They also oppose government support for mental health.

Yeah, they talk a good game, not because they mean what they say, but because they need to protect the sacred gun.

One can see that they really stand for nothing but their own power.
Why would families need help?

If you can't afford a family don't have kids

Shouldn't a gun should be between him and his doctor?
