Rupert Murdoch and his son are being called up for questioning by M.P.'s. The UK is about to boot out the biggest American corporate/war propaganda machine in history. The first whistleblower was found dead yesterday. The two highest police officers in the UK have resigned due to Murdoch's corporate payoffs.
Murdochs to face questions in UK parliament | WORLD News
"One of Rupert's most trusted executives Les Hinton has resigned over the scandal, as has former News of the World editor and News International chief executive Rebekah Brooks, who faces police charges.
"He is 80. I think the chances of him passing on the business to his son James are extremely unlikely. We're hearing almost daily shareholders in News Corporation asking for change at the top and that means change of the Murdoch family," said Sinclair."
Murdoch was just attacked.
Probably someone around here. LOL
Dunno if I should be outraged or laugh my ass off ... he was attacked with a plate of shaving cream.
Has it occurred any of you libs salivating over this that if the worst came to happen then FOX news (a tv station you most likely have never ever watched) would be just sold to someone else?
I know that a lo of libs fail to understand the concept that if something makes money you keep it or buy it and if it doesn't make money you get rid of it.

I don't know. To me this goes beyond libs vs. cons.
I know it's hard for some people to see past that line of thinking, but I honestly think everyone should be outraged over this issue. It doesn't matter that it's Rupert Murdoch. The fact that such a major media outlet could be responsible for such unscrupulous acts should piss everyone off, regardless of their party affiliation.
...
Private individuals should be banned form invading your privacy and should be thrown in prison for it.
When an editor routinely asks for the phone transcripts alongside a reporter's copy to support a major story, would that suggest to you that perhaps it's more than simply "private individuals"?
When James Murdoch signed the cheques to senior policemen for services rendered, would such bribery break American corporate law?

Not this thread, lust look at the original thread title.
Sayonara, FOX "News" (let's hope)
I agree with that. Private individuals should be banned form invading your privacy and should be thrown in prison for it.

Yes, because it's "partisan" to want criminals to pay for their crimes.
I never said it was partisan to want criminals to pay for their crimes.
No, you said "libs" wanted Fox to fail because they were being partisan, The truth is we want them to fail because they are criminals.
If this gets messy enough the UK could ban them from the media, like Canada did. All of this is going to be pretty interesting to watch unfold.
Canada did not ban them. Not sure where you got your info, but you are wrong. We not only have FoxNews, but we also have a Canadian version as well (Sun Media).

I think he was thinking of when a cable service kicked of Fox News from their network because they did not see any value in them or something like that.
Or he could be thinking about how Canada declined to give Fox News permission to start up their own Canadian version.
It is hard to actually see which the right are pissed about as the miss-information campaign has been quite considerable... google "Fox News banned in Canada" and you will see a lot of right wing wingnut webpages.
