Say the Second Amendment is repealed

Say the Second Amendment is repealed, what happens?

  • Nothing

    Votes: 2 10.0%
  • Very little change

    Votes: 4 20.0%
  • Blue states and cities will ban semiauto rifles

    Votes: 6 30.0%

If 2/3rds of house say to repeal the Second Amendment, then 2/3rds of Senate agree. Then 38 states agree to repeal the Second Amendment, the Second Amendment is gone. And gone through legal means, as written in our Constitution.

What happens?

You just defined why it won't happen. Not this century at least.

The right of the people to keep and bear Arms!

Do you still think arming convicted criminals and pressing them into service as our armed guards, constitutes either "wellness" or "well regulated" ?

And the 2nd amendment is wrong, a well regulated, militia is NOT necessary to the security of a free State

And even if it was:

What law, if any, obligates someone from serving in the militia ?
Note: that's what LAW, not whose opinion

And still you refuse to answer:

What is an "appeal to/from ignorance"
Prove you understand it by using your own words

What is an "ORBAT" ?

That a well regulated militia, composed of the body of the people, trained to arms, is the proper, natural, and safe defense of a free state, therefore, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed; that standing armies, in time of peace, should be avoided as dangerous to liberty; and that in all cases the military should be under strict subordination to, and governed by, the civil power.

I keep asking, what law ?
And if you say the Constitution, please detail the clause that says service in the militia is obligatory

Our Second Amendment. It is not ambiguous or vague in any way. It is Your understanding that is ambiguous and vague.

Are you saying the Constitution makes military service obligatory ?
If not then which law does (note: I said law, not opinion) ?

What is an "ORBAT" ?

What does this mean to You?

"I ask, sir, what is the militia? It is the whole people, except for a few public officials."
— George Mason, in Debates in Virginia Convention on
Ratification of the Constitution, Elliot, Vol. 3, June 16, 1788

And if it's the Constitution, where in it (including the 2nd amendment) does it say that service in the militia is obligatory ?

The 2nd amendment is a prime example of how ambiguous the Constitution is. The Constitution doesn't apply to people Btw, no individual has ever been prosecuted for violating it.

The Common Law for the Common Defense.

The Common Law for the Common Defense.

Where is this "Common Law" that you say obligates people to serve in the militia
And if a citizen refuses to serve, under what statute would he be prosecuted ?
And if you're confusing "common law" with the Constitution, where in it (including the 2nd amendment) does it say that service in the militia is obligatory ?

Who makes up the militia, is it just male citizens of military age ?
Are the weapons that people keep and bear issued by the militia (as makes sense) like the Swiss used to do ?

What is an "ORBAT"

What does an "appeal to/from ignorance" mean ?
It now seems that such is you lack of understanding, you now actually think that there's a difference between "to" and "from".

The judiciary is a co-equal branch of Government.

What Is Common Law?
Common law is a body of unwritten laws based on legal precedents established by the courts. Common law influences the decision-making process in unusual cases where the outcome cannot be determined based on existing statutes or written rules of law. The U.S. common-law system evolved from a British tradition that spread to North America during the 17th- and 18th-century colonial period. Common law is also practiced in Australia, Canada, Hong Kong, India, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom.--https://www.investopedia.com/terms/c/common-law.asp#:~:text=Common%20law%20is%20a%20body,or%20written%20rules%20of%20law.

The judiciary is a co-equal branch of Government.

The government has three branched: The Judiciary, the Executive and the Legislature

(you're floundering no by repeating meaningless phrases, you usually go off on a tangent, when cornered, about the defense clause being general and welfare clause common. or something)

But, to repeat my post, that you seem incable of answering:

Where is this "Common Law" that you say obligates people to serve in the militia
