Santorum vs. Obama

If the Election were today, who would you vote for?

  • Total voters
    69
Nor could I. Not that I'm a likely republican voter to begin with. I could consider Paul, Romney or Huntsman. Not a likely voter, but they are better than a fork in the face. The rest of the field is a waste.

And the infamous Undisclosed here wonder why they could vote for Santorum over Obama when you have liberals saying they could consider Paul, Romney, or Huntsman. LOL! What a joke!

With the record Obama has, Bill the Cat ought to beat him. Go Meadow Party! LOL!

It has nothing to do with what Republicans think. Registered Republicans make up about 27% of the voting public. If they all voted for Santorum... who cares? The Republican candidate will not win because of what Republican voters think. He will win because of what everyone else thinks. And Santorum is too extreme for the other 73% of the population. So, give Santorum the nomination. And prepare for 4 more years of Obama.

If people start paying attention to Santorum he will flame out faster than the other notRomneys.

As I said the "American voters get to decide." I think that is a much clearer than your "He will win because of what everyone else thinks." If a person thinks and doesn't vote in the general election, he has no impact on the vote. On the other hand, it does matter what Republicans think as the Republican candidate has to win the Republican primaries. Got it? And we still do not give a rat's patootie for what you think. You are irrelevant.

Ah, another Undisclosed provides us with his infinite wisdom. Let's let the voters decide the election. I bet they will know far more than you do about the actual result.

You're right about the comment, "the American voters get to decide". That's pretty much what I said. And I showed how any Republican candidate has to figure out out to get some of the 73% of Americans who are NOT Republicans to vote for him. That is why I am not irrelevant, AND why, once the Republican candidate is chosen, registered Republicans ARE irrelevant. So, choose who you want... but remember... you cannot win a national election with 27% of the vote.

Obama signed the exec order to close Gitmo on 1/22/09...congress refused/refuses to fund it...

Obama signs order to close Gitmo

Like this?

Primaries...in some states, those registered "unaffiliated", such as me, can choose which primary we vote in. I could vote in the R primary, then vote for Obama in the general. For that matter, an R can vote for Obama, and I know quite a few who will do just that. No one is "irrelevant" as long as they vote.

Then, be my guest and change the word to something you find more agreeable. If you don't understand the point, that is not my problem.

Ug why do you support the guy when you don't know diddly squat about the guy?

here is one of his positions:

My position is a bit different seeing that in any risk pool the healthy are going to pay for sick. And I think the capital gains are a good thing through that system.

The problem with your poll is that you are assuming that everybody is going to vote for either the Republiscum or the Demoscum. I wouldn't vote for either. Again, I will be voting third party, so answering your poll is meaningless for me.

I don't know how someone who labels themselves as "very conservative" supports more war and nation building. Then again, Obama doesn't offer too much of a difference, but that is hardly the OP's contention.

However, that is conservatism for you - spreading a global empire in the name of patriotism, while eroding freedoms at home; both civil and monetary. Then again, most conservatives are neocons.

Santorum said he favored a Constitutional Amendment defining marriage. Explicitly that involves following the Constitution.

The same things they said about Reagan; are being said about Santorum; "Ah! he is way too extreme, he'll never get the middle!" Oh really? And McCain was wonderfull, right? No! he was a moderate like Romney, and Huntsman, and that is what loses!

Huntsman a moderate? Surely you jest, señor. The man's conservative through and through.

Not fully! BTW, if you like Conservatives, why don't you go for the best, i.e Bachmann or Santorum.

Tell me what is not Conservative about Huntsman.

Santorum, like Bachman, is more nutter and extreme to have a vote. Few people are actually all liberal or all conservative. I merely spoke for myself and what I could live with. It would be extremely disappointed in America if they ever elected someone like Santorum or backman, or Perry for that matter.

Well, there you go. If the Captain says something is true, it just has to be. Pshaw!

It is, however, true none the less. :coffeepap

Hello Pot. Didn't you just provide us with an annoying and condescending opinion of someone else's political views?

No. I called his comments precisely what they are, BS.

I have never claimed I love America more than those with whom I disagree or am "more American", or the infamous Palineqsue "Real American" etc. For some reason, some righties (I haven't seen a lefty do this, but if and when one does, I will say exactly the same thing) seem to think they are more American or love America more than those on the left. Ala Michelle "There should be a Congressional Investigation" Bachmann.

So to those who think their political views are more American than those with whom you disagree...y'all can KMA.

Why would anyone be foolish enough to kiss that stinky thing? Obama is the one who is out of the mainstream. He is the one who is looney. He is the extreme leftwing ideologue. He is the one who needs to be defeated. Most Republicans would support Santorum over Obama and we would expect liberals to be liberal.

Just Google Santorum and you'll see.

Ah, another liberal who has advice for Republicans. Pshaw! What wrong with Obama? Hell, you don't even need to Google. Common sense tell you the answer to that question.

It is, however, true none the less. :coffeepap

Yadda, yadda, yadda. Obama is an extreme leftwing ideologue. The worst Republican candidate is far superior to him.
