well I can see with Russia needing money they will drop the price of their oil as low as they can to sell it and get the money they need don't know how low they can go and still make money but I think we might find out.
Lets see if it drives the price of our oil and gas down
Now Biden has to keep on top of things and not let this drop so low as to hurt our oil industry the way the Saudi Russian oil price war did in 2020
Maybe he will buy some of it and re-fill our national emergency supply while it is still super low

There's not really an excuse ('reason' in the way you are using it) needed. That's the law of supply and demand. If the supply decreases, the price will go up.

No, I don't quite agree because the Russian Federation will never know communism ever again.
They may continue down the road with extreme fascism for a while but ultimately they'll probably wind up closer to being like the old PRI in Mexico with less money.
It will be one of those "managed" systems where, like Mexico, you could vote all you like but in the end your vote only goes to candidates who are approved by the mob that holds all the power.
