I am currently on a pause from DP, but I am back to say that I was wrong that it is going to be Cruz, it will be Rubio. The dude it pretty shocked that he is supposed to be the establishment guy, given that the establishment has never done dick for him, and in fact told him in no uncertain terms that he should not run this time, to wait his turn.I am very happy about this, Rubio has not been around long, but he is pretty bright, while he has not learned enough to be POTUS and is not even close to being the man Trump is he will make a pretty good VP for Trump.

He probably has the experience to handle the VP job. That does not solve the limited relevant experience that Trump has for the other one.

'relevant experience' is what has dug us into this hole in the first place. I'm done with being told that the solution to problems caused by politicians is another politician. it's time for change.

Under Trumps interpretation of the 14th which he intends to have enforced, Rubio would not even be a citizen.
It is highly unlikely that Trump would chose such a person as it would fly in the face of his position.

Obama is a virulent case of definitely no "relevant experience" and the price we are paying looks to be higher than we can well afford. We tried a neophyte and are going to pay dearly. To put someone into the chair of an international conglomerate with similar experience deficits would be considered gross negligence and would cause instant sell-offs. To put such a person in charge of the foreign and security policy in a time of massive shifts in the global power structure is so devastatingly weird an idea, that it harks back to Goldwater or Dr Strangelove.

I cannot imagine Hillary Clinton or Bernie Sanders choosing either of those guys, Hawk...so obviously I think you are wrong.

It is very doubtful that Rubio is going to be the VP. One, I doubt Trump who will probably win the Republican nomination will pick him. Just the nature of how Trump has campaigned and what I think he would be looking for in ability to control suggests going with an unknown. Two, I really doubt Trump will win against Hillary who herself looks to have enough Democrat Establishment support to fend off Sanders.

It is still a little early, get past Super Tuesday and perhaps a few things will become more clear.

On the other hand, Trump is not know for consistency of political opinion.

Trump already suggested that he might pick Cruz as a VP. Then he threatened to sue over Cruz's status, but only if Cruz didn't take down an ad that cited him in an earlier interview.

Trump, it seems, cares about birtherism the same way he cares about every other issue: sporadically.

Yes he changes his mind.
Pretty much everybody does over time.

As his current position is the one I mentioned it is unlikely he would choose Rubio, so lets add some caveats to satisfy those who need them.
It is unlikely he will select Rubio or even Cruz, unless he changes his mind or purposely sets out to stick it to either of them.

We'll see.
Answering a question about a running mate and saying that presently they are in agreement does not mean he would actually select the guy, especially given his stated stance which makes the selection of him unlikely.

Trump has the worst favorables of anyone running on either side of the aisle, and would actually create impetus on the Democrat side to turn out the base.

I don't know if Trump is the nom or not. Betting markets currently give him a little under a 50% shot. I could see a contested convention, where the not-Trumps coalesce the 65% of the party that doesn't want him.

We'll see.

We've already seen. Trump said he wouldn't rule Cruz out as a VP, and then admitted on stage that the Birtherism was about political advantage. Your hero doesn't actually care about the theory he's had you in here defending.

Like your comment to me above, you have seen nothing other than that which your bias leads you to believe.

How many times do you need to be told? Get a grip and stop with the asininity.
Just because I do not harbor hate against him like you do, does not make him my hero.

Rubio is a documented flip-flopper. Not only from his time in Florida but while in DC.

Maybe he can throw off his 'devoutly' Christian, Republican and very-much-anti-gay politics and get the LGBTQ vote.

Well since this is based on trump being president I can safely say its never going to happen. Like Cruz, Trump will not be our next president. Im open to any and all bets where the winner gets to control the others avatar/signature.

Rubio will be president and Donald Trump can go back to being a reality TV star.

You are quite the character WCH. Of all the things you choose to dislike Rubio because of that...

I'm sure your high school years were just roses and abstinence and loneliness in the corner of the classroom being a good Christian

Rubio bright? LOL....you have to be kidding. The man is a puppet. He is spoon fed talking points and all he does is parrot them back. He is a pretty face with a pea sized brain.

Wow. I've seen pathetic reaches before but I have to admit, this takes the cake.

His High School dance troupe dressed like Chippendales, and that makes him a...you know, I really don't get the point of this rag's piece and the pictures. I'll chalk this up to idiocy even lower than what the Clintons could put out.

I could see Kasich making him the candidate if he got the nomination, which sadly I don't think will happen. I'm not sure I agree with the idea of Trump making him the candidate, which is actually too bad because Rubio would make a terrific VP.

He could certainly parrot back the talking points of the President....that's for sure.

I brought that up because I hadn't seen it here. I have plenty of other reasons to diss Rubio.

Bad taste perhaps but, the man is a liar.

Trump and Rubio on one ticket? That would be something "the Donald" is not going to go for. He will want someone he completely controls and can count on. Rubio is not going to bring the independents in droves like the Donald needs so he will find a candidate with real across the board attraction to moderates.
