The 7 rich, spoiled rotten and immature white college girls from the suburbs arrested for riots tells a story not only about them, but their parents. When there was the "wall of mothers" - that most Democrats on this forum who commented cheered to women - claiming to be mothers of the vandals and rioters my thoughts were there are the most rotten mothers in the world - all who should be arrested for child abuse and for obstructing justice and the police.
Long ago, near here were two sets of shell islands out in the Gulf Of Mexico in an area called Orzello. There were no roads to those islands back then, reachable only by very short boat trips – rowing. Fishing, shrimping, clamming and scalloping were the primary industries. Low population, but needed a school.
So, do they put the school on the biggest island of the group to the North? Or the biggest island of the group to the South? Of course, each wanted it on their side.
So they compromised. They built the little one room wooden school for all grades on a tiny shell island in the middle between both, not much larger than the school itself. Neither side would get the school.
This was an era when parents didn't take their kids to school. So to get to school, each kid or kids in a family had to row a wooden row boat to school from 100 to 500 yards. This isn't lake water. Gulf Of Mexico water. Probably bull shark capital of the world. Hammerhead too. Plus lots of alligators. The water isn't smooth.
Think of this compared to today? Having a little child rowing a wooden boat alone and back in almost any weather in such dangerous remote and deadly waters?
What was the school boards stated position on this? This was the official statement of the school board – literally. “If a child can not be taught to row a boat by age 6 that child can not be educated.” One time we spoke to a very old woman who had gone to that school. She said she enjoyed rowing alone back and forth to school. Sure, the weather could be bad and the water rough. “But that was life and it was a good childhood.” She had nothing but fond memories of rowing back and forth to school. And, somehow, she ended up becoming a very, very wealthy woman - coming from a poor, remote fishing community and a 1 room schoolhouse on a little island.
She wasn't just rowing that boat across shark infested Gulf waters to a little schoolhouse. She was rowing toward a wonderful future because she was becoming ready to deal with anything - wisely.
Now? It is a crime if two 14 year olds want to use a 2 horsepower outboard motor on a jon boat on flat calm and shallow water river to go fishing. Back then an 8 year old could go hunting - alone - with a 22. Probably any rifle by age 10. Now? OMG! Even if 15.
Now children are coddled. Parents provide everything. If any chores, they are trivial. Never earned a dollar in their lives. They are sheltered, coddled, spoiled, and gain no life experience of adult matters –and then at 18 suddenly they are on their own – in college or not –with ZERO experience at self reliance, at being an adult. We see the results with spoiled rich suburban college girls dressing up in black wearing a mask and smashing windows in rioting – pretending they give a damn about black people as if they were former black slaves venting their anger.
No one ever taught them how to be adults. How to be mature. How to behave on their own. To provide for themselves. How to be an adult. Fully ill equipped. Not to be stupid and act stupidly. To not be total spoiled brat idiots likely to have continuous failed lives – blaming everyone and everything else for their failures – and now with criminal records having no clue THEY could EVER be arrested because mommy and daddy never enforced any rules whatsoever and always covered their asses.
There are almost no rioters than didn't have horrific lazy ass rotten parents who never taught their kids a damn thing. They put their kids out into the world fully crippled in maturity, knowledge, skills and psychologically.
Sadly, they also are voters with no sense of the real world. Victims of rotten parents and victims of their lazy ass, juvenile minded bum selves. Parents who coddle their kids are the worst enemies those kids have - their parents crippling them for life.
