Ron Paul Launches Presidential Campaign

Rep. Ron Paul, R-Texas, whose outspoken libertarian views and folksy style made him a cult hero during two previous presidential campaigns, will announce on Tuesday that he's going to try a third time.

Sources close to Paul, who is in his 12th term in the House, said he will unveil an exploratory presidential committee, a key step in gearing up for a White House race. He will also unveil the campaign’s leadership team in Iowa, where the first votes of the presidential election will be cast in caucuses next year.

......by far the best candidate in the field for 2012.......and a huge improvement over the current corrupt ****cago sleezeball we have staining the Whitehouse.

You want a return to The Constitution......fiscal discipline.......a great prosperous country.........then Dr Paul is your guy.

I like Paul........he does scare me a bit with national security/foreign policy though.

Excellent news .... I hope he does very well in the primaries and gets the GOP nomination.

Or I hope they screw him over and he gets angry and his supporter get angry and he runs on a Libertarian ticket.

Either way, I want to see him on the ballot in November of 2012.

That was my intitial drawback as well.......as it is for a great deal of Republicans and Conservatives.......when it comes to supporting Dr. No.

But while I may disagree with Ron on some of his foreign policy views..........what good is national security for a bankrupt country........what is there to defend besides MASSIVE DEBT?

He is the only candidate capable of saving this country.......

I think his national security policy is sound. Bring our folks home. Don't **** with us. We will not obliterate your ass.

I agree

But I think other candidates can tackle the debt. That is if we get a Republican majority in the senate. We can't do anything without that.

Badmutha, I love you how you say "God Bless America" like this is the first time Paul has run...

You know, when some one actually abides by the rule of law and the constitution, both left and right wing parties feel threatened. If this is the case, watch closely how both parties will go into character assassination mode with the help of our bought paid for media propaganda machine. Ron Paul seems like a wacko to many because he actually practices abiding by our constitution something that our American political machine hasn't done in over 100 years.

One of the few politicians I trust. Look at his voting record. He is not all rhetoric and lies. Ron Paul is truly a statesmen, not a politician.

I like the guy, but I'm a realist and I don't think he has much of a chance. That's all I'm saying.

Remember with Ron Paul it will be far easier to be a socialist in a even more freer country than we currently have;)

I mean i love the guy's foreign policy he just is you know laissez-faire capitalist lets privatize everything kinda guy.... You know how that works out...

Booming economy, massive job growth, balanced budgets, more freedom, less tyranny..........

One thing I do know, I know how socialism and communism works out most of it can be found in the ash heaps of history. My point to my post was, it's easier being a socialist in a free country opposed to being a socialist in a socialist country;)

He's a Libertarian, not a neocon... He has the best foreign policy of any candidates.

Ron Paul would surely get my vote.

Okay, I'm a fair guy..

I'll look up Ron Paul if he gets the republican nomination.

Otherwise, I don't vote third party. Its like throwing your vote away.

Heaven forbid we let countries handle their own problems and defense.

His foreign policy is the only viable foreign policy. Retards of all stripes refuse to acknowledge the fact that the Warfare state cannot last.

I like him as a politician too... He always tries to answer questions straight forward, and he never pretends to be outraged just to exploit other people's anger.
