i would like the chance to vote for Romney again, he’s the only Republican candidate I’ve ever voted for, but I don’t see it. He would have had a decent chance of beating Obama in 2008 if the McCain and Huckabee campaigns hadn’t conspired to freeze him out of the primaries (the reason why, in the end, I couldn’t pull the lever for McCain), and had a decent chance again in 2012 if he had offered a vigorous defense of his statements and positions. But the Republican Party is changing into an organization in which there is even less room for Romney Republicans than there was before.

Yeah, but what exactly would he DO? "He would lead" follows naturally from his vast ego, but a leader with no followers is helpless.

Biden has correctly identified the war in Ukraine as a European problem, and he's supporting them without trying to "lead" which historically has gotten the US into all sorts of trouble. He's also working with Congress which is essential given the likelihood he will lose Congress early next year, and Republicans will try to distance themselves from anything done this year. Seriously I wouldn't put it past Republicans to cancel sanctions and declare Ukraine part of Russia.

Again, what would Trump actually do about Ukraine?
