Taiwan is a disaster - Waters is simply stating official US policy when he says Taiwan is part of China. Taiwan is a case of people facing terrible CCP oppression where the world has few practical options to help, analogous to Hong Kong and others. Whether war with China is a good idea is an issue with two sides.
