Robert O'Rourke wastes no time

Even if we gave that to you, it wouldn't be enough. After the national registration went into effect, there would still be shootings, as I'm pretty sure gang bangers aren't going to be on the list, and then you would be calling for even more gun control laws.

For the political left, any gun violence whatsoever means more gun control laws are needed. There is no logical stopping point to gun control.

Is that how life looks from the corner of Slippery Slope Street and Paranoia Place?

Stupid people think gun bans and confiscations will stop school shootings.

How many mass shootings are there in Japan, Germany, Sweden, Norway?

There were millions killed in Germany from mass murder. The Japanese murdered over 14,000,000 people. Thousands of Norwegians were murdered. In 2011, there were 77 people murdered in Sweden at a youth camp.

He won't be a criminal. The people passing and enforcing the law will be the criminals.

A criminal is one who breaks the law. If assault weapons are to be turned in and keeping one is illegal, the person who does that chooses to be a criminal and break the law.

Show us where he didn't.

How can I show you something that is NOT true?

Have you every heard the fallacy about proving a negative?

Prove to me that there are not three inch monkeys made of blue flame who play a version of basketball fifty miles underneath the surface of Uranus.

It's in the video. Watch it and see. Moving the goalposts isn't going to work for you...lol

Were German Jews criminals?

Choosing to become a criminal is your right.

This is exactly what the second amendment was written for.

And there is a reason it's the second, it was established to protect the first

And all my guns have been acquired legally..

It a sport and it's not on ESPN two at three AM so it can not exist...

It's not a slippery slope fallacy if you can show a historical pattern of sliding down the slope, and that's pretty easy to do. There are currently thousands of gun laws at the federal, state, and local level, yet somehow more are always needed.

Spare us the attempt to convince us that you care about civility or the lives of the hundreds of public massacres a year the US has, you don't. Beto has stayed consistent and supported common sense gun laws before and after this last shooting and he'll support them after the next one, which knowing America will probably be in a few days.

What is "common sense" about banning and confiscating weapons based on whether or not they have a barrel shroud (and no, it's not the "shoulder thing that goes up")?

Exactly, murder is illegal, regardless of the weapon used.

I'm still pissed at the idiots that made people so paranoid that I can't carry pocket knives on a plane, and gave us the "patriot" act...

Bans of what specifically ?

Confiscation of what exactly?

While I agree that Beto, aside from being the worst candidate ever to run for the presidency, is nothing more than an empty suit propped up by meaningless platitudes, he did call for mandatory buybacks, which is confiscation.

I saw him call for a ban on military style assault weapons and a buy back program that is not voluntary.

Is that what you dishonestly call the much much much broader category of "guns"?

Actually the Second Amendment was to provide the new government with a cheap alternative to funding an army.

Your guns might have been acquired legally. And there might come a time when possession of them is no longer legal.

Fine. So show that pattern.

Anybody who violates the law is a criminal to the people who enforce the law.

So, you are saying that during the Third Reich, Jews were criminals. Got it!! :lamo

In the eyes of the country which had authority over them, yes, they were criminals in their estimation.

Is this like a "Mama, I just found out where babies really come from!!!!" moment for you?

Is the shock too much for you?

Of course, other nations peoples would hopefully call this an unjust law and we fought a war to depose such brutality and reverse the criminal code which made these people criminals.
