You talked about two of my all time favorite movies. Each had almost too many funny things to count.Another great thing about Mel Brooks - shown in that film - is how he can’t pass up any potential laugh.
“Werewolf.”
“There, there wolf.”
I also remember the poster for Blazing Saddles. MGM’s motto on its seal is “ars gratia artis,” Latin for “art for the sake of art.” Brooks or someone changed it to “ars gratia pecuniae,” which means “art for the sake of money,” if my Catholic school Latin serves.
“Yes, yes, he was my boyfriend!”You talked about two of my all time favorite movies. Each had almost too many funny things to count.
"I was going to make espresso."
“Mongo only pawn in game of life.”the name said belonged to the brain. Abby Normal.
And of course anything with Mongo in Blazing saddles.
MS is a very difficult disease. Many go years without any major issues, but others are not so lucky.I remember once on David Letterman's show, he did it all from his office, and he talked her into taking a shower on air.
I heard her on a podcast a few years back, she was still funny, but the MS made her speech difficult.
The research and medication for MS have come a very long way over the years. Many young American’s who get diagnosed now are able to live a much longer productive life than those who have suffered for years, Once the damage is done, it doesn’t heal.To live with MS to the age of 79, while having a good life overall, should be considered quite an accomplishment.
Damn, what a great comedic talent, she suffered with MS for many years.
