. . . making sure the republicans are not in the majority, in the House and in the Senate in 2025." "We can survive bad policy - we can't survive leaders who are gonna torch the Constitution. . . "

MSNBC's Alicia Menendez is excited by Liz Cheney's "bold statements" railing against republicans in Congress.

As most informed people know, Democracy didn't die in Trump's first term, so it's completely irrational to think that it will magically die in his second.

But to the fringe left, their beliefs don't need to be rational. Cheney does herself and her Party a great disservice by parroting the radical left's Threat To Democracy nonsense.

How DARE someone have an opinion different from the FOX NEWS fed Rightwing doctrine. Especially a turncoat. Especially a RINO. Especially a Trump "hater" who suffers from TDS. She must be woke.
I think it is disgusting that ANYONE dares to say anything negative about my God and Idol. Opinions should ONLY be allowed to be expressed by we Righties. NO ONE ELSE is allowed to voice an opinion.
When Trump wins she needs to be charged and jailed.

Trump's orchestrated coup attempt almost succeeded. So, there is definitely a lot of reason to think he'll do "better" in choosing VP and other people around him second time around.

Only a person who is totally ignorant of Cheney's voting record in the House would characterize Liz as a RINO.
True, Cheney is in no way a RINO. Only the loyalist worshipers who kneel before trump and kiss his ring....or whatever, call her names. The fact that she put country over traitor just makes her a Patriot, something no trump cultist can call themselves without being laughed at by patriotic Americans. They are jealous of Liz because she has a bigger pair than they can ever dream of.

Agreed. I've never liked Liz Cheney or her policies, and her father is a vile individual, but at least she has the guts to speak out about the destruction that Trump would cause if elected a second time. I'll give her credit for that.

I'm with you all the way! 🇺🇸

So you are saying that it is irrational to believe what Trumps says??? Maybe we do share at least one common thought then!

...blah blah blah, a RINO Liz is not. RINOs are the very people who can't see straight because Trump smeared some of his orange spittle over their eyes.

???? who said it DID ???
so it's completely irrational to think that it will magically die in his second.
Not irrational--------history is the only way to predict the future. (i.e. Jan 6, etc, etc)

Cheney is one of the few real Republican's left. Trumpers are NOT Republicans, sorry...

Liz was regarded as the most staunch Conservative in the House for years and you guys turned on her in an instant for an orange buffoon who in so corrupt we need to watch our silverware when he comes to dinner. He steals from kids with cancer, veterans and YOU to feed his enormous ego. I never agreed with Liz's ideology but did find that she is not traitor to her country like your man is.

She is a true believer in conservative values, but no one can accuse her of not standing up for the Constitution. She exposed the former guy's followers to he is, what he did, who they are and for that they fear her. She has my respect.

No it isn't. Considering the support he now gets from his party, it's actually quite rational.

The big lie, fake electors, the Jan 6 insurrection. The malignant narcissist scumbag piece of shit liar grifter rapist and seditionist and his sycophants are indeed a danger to our democracy. Nothing from zero hedge?

Trump had nothing to do with that. He wasn't even there for the insurrection, so he couldn't possibly have 'engaged' in it.

Those talking points are popular among the fringe LWNJs, but most independent voters know that there's no substance to the talking points. Keep in mind that it was independent voters who put Trump in office in 2016, and it will be independent voters who will put Trump back in office in November.

That's alarmist nonsense. Americans (generally) did much better under Trump, and that's what most Independent voters will be thinking about when we go to the polls in November.

SkyChief, I'm interested to know if you agree with Rep. Bob Good on Mike Johnson's screwup today.

She needs to blow her smoke up somebody else's butt. She thought she was a fixture in the Republican party and found out the voters didn't need her back. Now she's just bitter.

The left a-holes haven't realized that Trump has never been charged or convicted of insurrection. It's one of their two biggest Trump lies.

The sack of shit liar did everything to push his idiot followers to try and stop the lawful transition of power. Funny how the magidiot cons forget how miserable things were under the malignant narcissist scumbag piece of shit liar grifter rapist and seditionist with covid. The scumbag roots for economic collapse because it will help him get elected and the morons that follow him eat it up. TDS, Trump dicksucking syndrome.

The fact that her legislative career is now over is due to the party's devotion to one man rather proves her point.

He caused it. You can face reality, even if Trump doesn’t.

The issue with Trump is that he does not believe in the values the US has promoted and proclaimed, not economic performance during his years. He didn’t accept the 2016 election results and didn’t accept 2020’s. And he is likely not to accept this years, win or lose, if any of the results displease him.

The country is doing fine under Biden, as it did fine under the late Bush years and the years under Obama and Trump, recovering from the economic problems of the earlier Bush years. Tho I don’t believe that short term economic growth or decline can be attributed to a president’s single term, Biden’s and democrats accomplishments are impressive. Drug prices, infrastructure, the environment, etc. are things they can be proud of. Trump’s appeal is to Make America Hate Again: media, nasty women, illegal immigrants, legal immigrants, refugees, etc. He is not a fascist ideologically, as he has no ideology except Trump. But he uses fascist-like rhetoric. I repeat that if FDR was famous for saying that the only thing we have to fear is fear itself, Trump’s message, if you will, is that the only thing offered is fear.
