IMO, this weird speech by Jon Voight crosses that line.



Doesn't this clown know the election is over? Fighting for Trump now is tantamount to sedition. This is a call for open rebellion.

It's okay if grown adults want to play make believe...until you begin pitting make believe against very real laws and our very real Constitution.
We are under no obligation to acknowledge Voight and his Trumper friends as anything but a baseless conspiracy cult which has never in all its existence been forced to produce a shred of evidence to back up any of its claims.
When children believe in the Tooth Fairy, democracies are not threatened.
Trumpers believe in an army of tooth fairies and all of those tooth fairies tell them all day long that democracy is not real, and that it's an evil myth that springs from communism.
To sacrifice to a lie, the very thing Americans fought, bled and died for for decades is tantamount to political genocide. It's a neutron bomb to the very foundations of this republic.
A nation cannot "tolerate" the very device built expressly for its destruction.

Most states exempt antique firearms (pre-1899). Many of those have a great deal of firepower. Others are very concealable. I have over a dozen pocket 38 and 32 double action, 5 shot pocket pistols that are exempt. Almost any cap and ball revolver, such as a Colt 44, are exempt. Same for antique shotguns etc. However, most felons don't know this.

Part of my firearms training as a kid was done using an antique flintlock. My mom's cousin taught me how to use it. He had all kinds of cool antiques, including a Civil War era surgeon's kit. He passed away recently, and will be missed.

As for nineteenth century weapons, I don't see those being widely used in an insurrection.
