I really don't care about your silly social justice pro China article attempting to refute what is obvious about mainland Chinese culture as it pertains to food sanitation, I know what I KNOW from first hand experience over many decades. There is a clear distinction between how Chinese deal with certain aspects of their culture, as compared to how we do in the West. Not only when it comes to the foods they are WILLING to eat, but how they prepare them. Don't believe me, then go visit China and see for yourself. So bad in FACT that during the Chinese Olympics the government there had to put out clear mandates about "cleaning up their act" so as not of offend foreign tourists, and thefore reflect badly on China in general. It is a problem, I say a cultural problem, and one which unfortunately imports itself here to the USA (including Canada) where new Chinese immigrants gravitate naturally to operating restaurants as first businesses here. Not just them, but many immigrants from many cultures. However, with the Chinese culture they do pretty much the SAME things here that they did in China, as to them there is nothing wrong with the way they do things.

Lol. You realize there are pictures of bad stuff for every kind of cuisine.

And you are just trying desperately to justify your racism..

Riddle me this Batman, how is my aversion to Chinese owned restaurants due to bad cultural food handling "racism"? If I were a "racist" wouldn't that mean I would have the same opinion about all Asian restaurants too? I eat at PLENTY of Thai, Japanese, and Korean owned places all the time, I just don't eat at Chinese owned places. So, hardly me being a racist.

I'm not a fan of British/English food either.... too bland and boring. Does that make me a "racist" against English people? I find that difficult being that half my DNA comes from England or Ireland, and the rest from Germany.

LOVE German food BTW.... and they are so CLEAN and well organized too. Unlike in Chinatown... yuk!

Dirty place”

I ate here to please my husband who wanted to try a German place while in town. Everything about this place was dirty. The carpets were dirty, our table cloth had been cleaned but had spots on it, the windows were so dirty the nice view of town was off. I tried to talk my husband into not entering the place when I noticed even the menu on the front of the restaurant under glass had mold/mildew growing on it. Food was ok at best and pricy for what you get. If you eat here do yourself a favor and don't look closely at surroundings or you will not be able to enjoy it. I suppose when we travel sometimes we just eat someplace and hope for the best but I rarely eat in a place this dirty--- heavens only knows what the kitchen looks like.

Why aren't you railing against restaurants run by Americans?

MILWAUKEE -- The city's health department has temporarily closed iconic downtown German restaurant Mader's due to an "imminent health hazard."

A source with the Milwaukee Health Department says a rodent infestation is the source of the issue.

"....the Italian restaurant at 8125 W. Sahara Ave., came within two points of being shut down by the Southern Nevada Health District after a routine inspection on April 24."

Inspectors found moldy peppers, expired meatballs, outdated ricotta cheese, a cutting board set up on top of a trash can, a dirty slicer, and utensils sitting in dirty, stagnant water during the 39-demerit inspection, according to KTNV.

Gordon Ramsay's 24 Hours To Hell And Back: 10 Worst & Most Disgusting Kitchens

Not one of them chinese.

Btw: I prefer Canadian food to anything Mexican! :)

Right...like French fries with gravy and cheese curds, the most disgusting concoction anybody has ever dreamed up.

You're a culinary heretic. Poutine is 100x better than jello salad or head cheese.

Its a TV SHOW. A reality TV SHOW. You do realize that the producers create all of those so called "reality" dramas that occur for that show and shows like them. Do you really think the production crew gets everybody together and shows up to film these shows just hoping something interesting happens while everyone is there collecting a pay check. HINT: it is ALL scripted.

Now back to talking about filthy Chinese restaurants and filthy cultural habits and actual NEWS reports.

Head cheese is depression food so I guess it is possible for poutine to be better than head cheese but that ain't saying much.

Plenty of examples.

Point is, showing pictures of dirty kitchens doesn't prove your racist point was valid. I can provide just as many pictures of dirty kithens in non Chinese restaurants.

No way around it. Your point is a common racist stereotype, you should be shamed of yourself for perpetuating it.

Chinese culture is what it is, I didn't create it. Unless you actually believe China is the same as Switzerland, Japan, or Norway when it comes to hygiene and food handling standards, then you are the one needing more information.

There you ho again. Lame attempts to justify your racist stereo types.

Tokyo restaurant kitchen grime

Japan loves its rules and regulations. Of that there is little doubt. And yet oddly, when it comes to kitchen cleanliness, it almost comically seems like it really couldn’t care less

And yet China very dirty and Japan very clean.

In China littering is part of the culture. In China they types of things which are not acceptable anywhere else is a common thing.

Here is a typical public train in mainland China filled with litter.

littering-in-china-public-transportation.jpg

In Japan everyone is expected to clean up not only after themselves, but to also pick any liter which happens to be found.
In Japan in many cities there are no waste cans, and individuals are expected to discard their own trash after taking it home with them.

Yes, there are clear cultural differnces.
In Europe also.

In Germany the streets are usually quite clean.
And in Switzerland they are even cleaner! :)

You can keep up with selective photographs to justify your racism all day long.

Problem is I have destroyed your justification every step of the way by posting equally disgusting pictures from the places you say are clean.

All you are doing is grasping at straws to justify your blatent racism.

Frankly, you are making a fool of yourself.

Isn't it embarrassing?

I don't have a dog in this fight, I am only commenting on the clear observations about culture and cleanliness. No racism in that. Question is: Are nations and cultures like the Japanese, the Swiss, the Norwegians a cleaner more orderly culture, or are the Chinese--- especially mainland Chinese? Why can't you admit to the obvious?

When was the last time you observed Japanese or Swiss people taking a dump in a public elevator or at train station? And I'm not talking about vagrants or crazy people, just regular people? In FACT, the Chinese GOVERNMENT has needed to print travel advisories for Chinese tourists to other countries telling them all of the things which are bad and unacceptable behavior OUTSIDE of China, like public urination/defecation, smoking in restaurants and elevators, pushing and shoving, littering, not using deodorant, SPITTING in public, littering, and even more.

What I am describing is CULTURE--- has noting whatsoever to do with race or racism. The problem so bad in fact that the people of Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand, and Japan have had to enact special rules directed at Chinese tourists in order to attempt to civilize their very bad habits.

No you are repeating racist stereotypes and you actually believe your pictures justify your undeniable racism.....even though I have proved, with pictures, how selective and arbitraty your use of pictures is.
