Respect for opposing views

Ah crap, and Goobieman. I forgot about him and just caught him looking at the thread. Though I seem to remember we used to get into it, our last couple debates have been very civil, which I enjoy.
 
Well Jallman, I respect your debating as well, although I don't know enough of your other views to know exactly what I agree or disagree with you on.

But no need to touch tummies here, a hearty handshake will work just fine :2razz:

He and I have been known to "get into it" on a number of occasions. The good thing about it is he is thick-skinned and can take it as well as dish it...something I got to admire.

And you know, I really appreciate the sense of level-headedness I get from you. I have yet to see you say anything that could be construed as offensive.

I think Willow for some reason. I dont know enough about her debating skills but from the statement (s)he makes, (s)he seems like one of the smartest people here. Now. Give me a cookie. Also the Capt. but thats just cause he's a Jedi Master. Respect. :P

I would suggest that be started in the basement, since I'm sure that's where it will end up. Saves us the trouble.
 
Aw, Navy Pride's got love for me. :mrgreen: But see, I can't really return the favor here, because we agree on a lot more than NP realizes.

Hmm. I'll have to think on this one. Most folks that come to mind immediately I either agree with them too much, or I can't stand them. :lol:

oh I want to add Ivan the Terrible. I never agreed with him politicaly on anything but he's got my respect.
 
I have to add jfuh to the list when it comes to global warming. I have to admire his tenacity. He is like a pit bull with that topic.
 
RightatNYU - he doesn't get all caught up in the party affiliations. He respects others opinions and is willing to explain to those who oppose him, why he disagrees, rather than name-calling.

turtledude - after a rocky start with him, I've come to look forward to his posts. He doesn't lord it over an opponent if they are proven wrong. He will even try to see where an opponent is coming from.
