Republicans sue to disqualify thousands of mail ballots in swing states

1. The issue with the date is to ensure the laws governining elections are upheld.
Transparency.

2. As above

The date on the security envelope makes no difference materially as to the identify or validity of the vote as long as the security envelope is received on or before Election Day.

See federal law.

"attacking voting and democracy" really means "not allowing democrats to cheat their asses off in elections."
and YOU have proof that this Cheating happened ?
or are you just another low IQ Trump follower that believes Trump's LIES because he has told you the last election was " Rigged " and full of fraud over and over and over again?
I AM sure Trump and his lawyers would like to see any so called proof you have.
Have a nice day

I live in Florida. Last time I used a mail in ballot. Worked fine. I tracked it on the internet until it was accepted.

This time I didn't use my mail in ballot. I voted in person. Why? Because of republican shenanigans just like this.

Any rational, intelligent American who votes republican is a fool.

No. It's the date it is sent out.

Wait, I thought your possition was that everyone needed to vote on the same "uniform day".

Doesn't that mean no early voting and no mail-in voting?

Because if not how is voting accomplished for all people on a single day?

WW

If I hated a party or candidate as much as the left does I wouldn't take a chance on a mail in ballot not getting to the polls or not getting counted. How did you vote this year and why?

I voted in person for that very reason.

Seems I was right in not taking the chance. Republicans intend to cheat in any way they possibly can. The end justifies the means.

Thus early voting for two weeks prior to election day

I'm saying there are valid reasons for requiring your mail in vote to be signed and dated.

Are there valid reasons we should require a state to publish the names of all the voters they disenfranchise?

Thus early voting for two weeks prior to election day

The poster I replied to says voting has to occur on a uniform day.

That would mean all states are doing it wrong by allowing mail in voting and by having early voting.

Would you throw out these voters votes based on them not having a date on the outside of an envelope?
Why would you not sign and date the official declaration? Lol, seems pretty important.

Would you be happy to publish the names of EVERY voter whose voter you tossed publicly so they could see that the GQP actually does not give a shit about their votes?
That accomplishes nothing. A number is just fine.

Accomplishes nothing? It tells the voters who the pieces of shit are... seems pretty relevant...

Why would you not sign and date the official declaration?

As been pointed out repeatedly, this has nothing to do with signing the security envelope. The ballots in question were all signed and received before Election Day.

Since they were were received prior to the close of Election Day, that makes the "date" on the security envelope immaterial to the validity of the voter and the vote.

I'm sure if the people of PA think such a law is a good idea, they could pass it, yes.

So you too would have NO problem throwing out these voters votes... Would you have a problem with publishing each and every name so these same voters could see that their votes were discarded?
they won't do that because then the people who's ballots were thrown out would have the right to go vote in person
having their ballot thrown out would mean they did not vote and would have the right to vote again
Have a nice day

I'm sure if the people of PA think such a law is a good idea, they could pass it, yes.
Let's make it a federal law... For any vote discarded, the state must publish the name and county of the voter on a public site...

Passing the voting rights act was critically important. It didn't get passed.

Packing the Court was also probably critically important. That didn't happen, either.

Accomplishes nothing? It tells the voters who the pieces of shit are... seems pretty relevant...
I agree, though they probably won’t like being labeled “pieces of shit” because they couldn’t follow simple instructions regarding completing their ballot in accordance with the law.

As been pointed out repeatedly, this has nothing to do with signing the security envelope. The ballots in question were all signed and received before Election Day.
It's really very simple. You sign and date the official declaration to cast your vote.

Since they were were received prior to the close of Election Day, that make the "date" on the security envelope immaterial to the validity of the voter and the vote.
No it doesn't. All that does is provide a date for when the outer confedientiality envelope was processed through the mail.

No, they want votes counted using common sense. If a ballot is received by Election Day, there is no doubt it was marked before Election Day, regardless of whether it was dated or not. The only reason to try to discard them is to disenfranchise certain voters.
Nope. The reason is that everyone has to operate under the same rules.

States implementing early voting, official absentee ballots, and election day are destroying the liberal rhetoric about voter suppression

After two years of Biden and the neo-left fascists destroying everything possible, that may not be a bad thing. In fact, at this point I hope Trump wins again in 2024 and makes himself dictator for life as long as he agrees to keep the democrats at bay and far from any decision making.
YEP another right winger that wants to DESTROY the USA . LETS make Trump KING and let him F over everybody in the USA he wants and really destroy this country.
YES lets put a treasonous trader in as KING
Have YOU always been ANTI - AMERICA or has it just started since Trump has kept repeating his lies over and over and you have started to believe them?
Have a nice day

What state "implemented" early voting this year?
