Republicans Make Voter Registration Drives Illegal = a felony = what about your state? VOTER SUPPRESSION

So, on the one hand, you say banning voter registration drives doesn't stop voters. On the other hand, you say it reduces voter fraud. How is that?
Groups and individuals have used voter registration drives to commit voter fraud. This isn't something new. Here is one of the most famous examples.

Seems standard for them. The GOP does seem to do it's best to discourage voting.
Organisations that do registration drives should continue and dare them to prosecute. The best way to deal with a bad law is to defy it. There's lots of examples of that working.

This line of reasoning is called faulty everywhere else it's used but you say it's legitimate here, in this case?

Like your new avatar, by the way. Doom and gloom to the right.

You have something to back up that assertion or just hope it will stick to the wall
Back up what assertion? The definition? The fact that suppressing voter registration drives causes a decline in voter registrations?

Come on man!

You're saying the dictionary definition of 'suppression' is wrong?
I am saying what is going on here is not suppression, as no one is being prevented from registering to vote.

Exactly back up your claim, there is no evidence anyone has been prevented from regressing to vote. You can’t have voter suppression when no one is being suppressed. Its not that hard to understand you’ve made a boogeyman to go after. You get those windmills

Here's my question: How many of the fraudulent ACORN voter registrations resulted in fraudulent votes being cast? As far as I can tell, none. That's because the registrations were not of real people, but rather of duplicates or simply made up non-existent voters. There was no one to cast a fraudulent vote. The scandal was simply about people getting money to turn in a quota of registrations. These people were not interested in changing the outcome of elections. They simply wanted to get paid. Some of them took illegal shortcuts to get paid. No fraudulent votes were cast.

Acorn is for squirrels.........

So, it's not a roadblock, just an annoying detour? No big deal, just make it a little more difficult and inconvenient? Nothing wrong with that?

How about this? Let's make a law that requires everyone to re-register after every election! Won't stop anyone from voting, right?

Yeah, that's the ticket! You gotta re-register every two years and if you don't? Oh well, sucks to be you!

Suppression doesn't have to involve prohibiting someone from voting or registering. Indeed, as that would be illegal, suppression takes the form of making it difficult to vote or register. Don't know why you can't see this, but them's the facts.

So what the hell is wrong with voter registration drives after 75 years? Not one damn thing !!!!!!!

The Bogus Republican Party lives in fear of losing their shorts thus the privatization scam slows down a bit so why not
more voter suppression? NEVER VOTE REPUBLICAN AGAIN!!!!!!

Their best voter suppression scam was convincing their blind worshippers that COVID 19 was a hoax thus a few a hundred thousand
blind worshippers are dead now ........... meanwhile their leaders were getting vaccinated. NEVER VOTE REPUBLICAN AGAIN FOR IT MAY COST ONE THEIR LIFE !!!!!!!

among red counties, those with more Trump voters had more dire outcomes. The counties where Trump won at least 70% of the vote have an even higher average COVID death toll than counties where Trump won at least 60%.

It’s already been established as common practice that minor inconveniences to a right are not suppressing or infringing upon that right.

That is simply not true it is already common practice that minor inconveniences are not suppressing or infringing upon a right. You can’t have it both ways

We've tried minor inconveniences with gun control and It was called tyranny.

Yet we have them and it’s not considered to be infringement at all just as this is not an example of voter suppression

The Conservatives have imposed photo ID on British elections. The first local council elections are due in about six weeks and so far about ten per cent of the expected number have registered for free ID cards. More elimination than suppression here!

Killing volunteer voter registration drives is Voter Suppression and I understand why the Bogus GOP Voter Suppressors live in fear of volunteer voter registration drives. They are still trying to over throw the USA
government.

Voter Id's are not necessary here. However there could be counterfeit models available I would imagine.

No, it isn't. It's an effort to reduce election fraud.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Show me any instance of election fraud that is higher than 40 years ago, that even exists in any significant (over .01% of the votes) that it would change the results of an election, and lastly, that it is not committed, overwhelmingly, by Republicans.

I am saying what is going on here is not suppression, as no one is being prevented from registering to vote.
If no one is being prevented from registering to vote, what is the purpose of having these laws making it more difficult to get people to register in order to exercise their constitutional right to vote?

1. Fraud by voters is negligible, insufficient to change the results of an election
2. When fraud is detected and proved, it is Republican voters more often than Democrat voters who have committed fraud.
3. The more people who vote, the more Democrats are elected.

Now, hmmm. Which of the above scenarios is/are the reasons Republicans want to make it harder to register and/or vote? I can see only one.

Making people have to work harder to exercise right then they previously did is a form of suppression.

Doesn’t hold water when you compare it with other rights. It’s already been established minor inconveniences are not suppression or infringement.

Did you forget the definition again.

"voter suppression, in U.S. history and politics, any legal or extralegal measure or strategy whose purpose or practical effect is to reduce voting, or registering to vote"
